I was just notified by my CA that he was able to add Active (Radar) Cruise back to my build. This has been removed from selectable options since early October. Very happy to have it back; it works very well in stop and go traffic.

If you've got a build in 112 or earlier and you want this feature, ask your salesperson to add option 5DF.

Was going to email my CA asking him to add it in also, when I thought I should check first if status changed. Sure enough I have started production....exactly one week after my order. I emailed him asking if still possible.

Do you mind if I ask which market you ordered in? I’m about to order in USA, and really hoping I can get active cruise. I was told “some are, and some aren’t coming with it” whatever that means!

USA market. There are early-build cars on the market that have them. I almost bought an in-stock unit for this feature. Glad I didn’t as none of the current cars on the ground with 5DF match my spec.

Your salesperson should be able to add this manually (it’s still not on the online configurator).

Thank you! I was insistent that they could even though it didn’t show on the ordering guide, now it’s locked in!

Wireless charging eh?? Did you have to add that as an option or are they just putting it in standard/with a package again?

I ordered 240i on 11/27 and it is not coming with Adaptive Cruise Control, despite asking for every option. It is in final assembly now. The dealer never said a word about the feature being removed from the configurator, and is also saying they they can't add any options that aren't on the public configurator.

I am beyond livid as I was under the impression that the feature was standard since it was nowhere to be found. What are my options? Seriously considering forfeiting my deposit over this and walking away.

Does anyone know if HD Radio is a separate part from SiriusXM radio? I have Sirius on my build and am hoping all the radios are in the same module.

Me too!! I just was about to order a car and noticed the line item is not there but was on the demo unit. Obviously the folks at the dealership knew nothing about it (and blamed chip shortage). When they went to their order system they noticed there is an option to add "Adaptive Cruise Control" for an additional $750. It's not part of the online builder. Same with wireless charging - it's an extra $500 and i created another thread with questions about that. Pfff.

what's confusing there doesn't seem to be a definitive list of what's standard and what's included in different packages... I ordered a G42 basically with every option available according to the builder.. but no idea what kind of cruise control it

Also does anyone know if Dynamic Cruise control, and Adaptative Cruise control are the same thing? looking at the standard features list Dynamic Cruise control is listed under "instruments, controls section"

Dynamic cruise control is standard, adjusts to slower traffic ahead for highway driving and then speeds up after passing in another Lane. Adaptive/active cruise is a separate $750 option that also works in stop & go local traffic.. I said no thank you to that... ha-ha

this is really good news, and you're basing this off of your own experience with the car?

i don't need stop and go.. but automatically modifying speed based on on-coming traffic is a must

But wife's 2020 Kia Sportage has adaptive cruise. My M240 is still waiting transport so haven't received it yet

my wife's 2020 Volvo.. adaptive cruise control means it adjusts speed based on cars distance infront of you.. i am really hoping you're right and BMW calls that dynamic cruise...

No. They didn't know.
