Paul Miller BMW NJ Bad Experience

So I posted earlier about the 5k ceramic charge. (They made it a mandatory option for me ) I requested to at least get wheel/tire option instead of ceramic which is reasonable as they both are similar in cost. They told me not happeneing if you want the wheel tire you need to pay an additional 4500 on top of the mandatory 5k ceramic.
Tried telling the GM (Fernando) about the bad experience I had and the frustration I’m having trying to buy the car and recieved an idc type response. I was ready to sign today and here I am with a shity situation.
Attached the emails with the sales lady and the GM…. Thoughts ?

They are a bunch of tools, I had an order with them about year ago.
Had to walk away from it as they were trying
to sell me stuff I did not ask for.

BMW of Manhatten - got MSRP did all the paperwork electronically. Walked in the dealer, drive out with the car, was super seemless.

There are mixed reviews for this dealer, but mines was great.
I worked with Sam

The reason they won't let you switch ceramic for wheel and tire is that they will be making $4600 profit on the ceramic from you

Wow too bad but thanks for posting this. We should take the time to vote with our wallets. Buy from honest dealers who treat people well and shun those that do not.

Don't see the problem tbh. They wanted x markup for high-in-demand car, you didn't want to pay on their terms, you didn't buy the car. Doesn't seem like they tried to hide anything or were obnoxiously rude to you. Find another dealership that will sell you a car at MSRP, nbd?

If they told you upfront then I don’t see the problem. If they snuck that in after finalizing the deal then that’s just sh!tty on their end. The fact of the matter is they can advertise MSRP all day but are charging a ADM with this ceramic up charge.

They tried to do the same thing to me, I walked away. I will never do business with them again. Go to Bmw of Tenafly, no games and more professional.

Isnt it ironic that they are listed in the "BMW Center for Excellence" that came out today. What a bunch of crock !!! Its just plain and simple. "We are MSRP dealers but will try and get our mark up in other ways"...ceramic, tinting, anti theft or APR rate increase.

Looks like u didnt order this car and may have found this on ur queries. So you should ask yourself this question
1. Is this a G80 or G82. If G82 - Walk away. You can find below MSRP deals if u r willing to look outside ur area. If its G80, MRSP deals are to be had and not worth the 5K ADM

2. Find a broker on this forum and they have a lot more inventory and might find you a car sooner than wait for a long time. Pick a PCD delivery and make it a memorable experience.

I dont think 5K ADM is worth it at this time !!!

They are terrible. Move on. I wouldn’t give them one dime. Don’t reward bad behavior. We charge $5k for ceramic because others are charging over MSRP?! Duh. Head over to Ridgefield in CT. They historically haven’t charged more than MSRP on M cars.

That’s where I got my car. Rob Mahoney was the man.

Msrp, loyalty and no mark up on finance

This is correct. I will say when deals for M3s were 10%+ incentives, they weren’t the most competitive but seeing what I am seeing now, I’d give them my business for being reasonable (MSRP is still plenty profitable for these places).

I bought my 2022 from Paul Miller Sept of 2021 and had a great experience there. At the time, car prices were not out of control like they are now.

I got $500 loyalty discount plus $1000 off MSRP at the time. They were very fair and friendly and I'd definitely buy from them again.

Dealers are all different. The ones that are greedy are going to feel it down the road. Some are so big they just don't care.

Same. My CA David Guzman was great. I got my car at MSRP in Nov '21. Service dept has not been stellar but that maybe par for the course for BMW dealerships lately. Having said all that, $5k for ceramic is just crazy.

Good to know op…

Next time I’m in the area and need a bathroom I’ll know where to go.

“How can I help you?”

Where’s your bathroom?
