GESI catted downpipe in California?

I understand that the downpipe does not give a CEL, but it's also illegal in California, but would it pass car inspection regardless and just be technically illegal? btw I am talking about the Active Autowerke dp. Thanks.

unless it’s carb certified it’s illegal. I say screw it and run the AA DP anyway

I ran a 5” CG downpipe and I had no issues with police. No way to get around swapping back to stock unless your smog guy is cool
