Transmission service time. Which 8AT do I have?
Hey guys is there an easy way to tell what transmission I have?
I'm sure some service kits suit multiple ZF 8 speeds but I want to know for sure. It's a 2018, 8 speed ZF automatic. The car is an f36 440i gran coupe and has the paddles and sequential and all the toys. Confused that fcp is asking me more details than I can answer. Thanks in advance |

It truly is quite the process. If you follow the instructions you have to put the car through its gears after the first fill at a specific temperature and then re fill it a second time until it overflows.

Yea I did it kinda wrong, so I just had my local shop help me honestly. Didn't prepare well enough, as per usual.
