2016 328i started shaking mid drive/turned off

Hi just yesterday afternoon my bmw started shaking on the highway once that happened I tried pressing on the gas pedal but it wouldn’t go so I had turned it off and on again everything was fine until check engine light came on any suggestions on what it could be??

Scanning codes is always the first step. Even the Amazing Kreskin can't make an internet diagnosis without them.

I believe Advanced and others will do a code scan for free.
