Labour; to take all 4 corners apart, is what the majority of the bill will be... Are you replacing top mounts, dust boots and bump stops whilst you're at it? If not it'd make a lot of sense to do it whilst it's all apart! It's not an easy, hour job etc - there's plenty of work involved; more so if bolts are seized or start to spin etc

Depends on where in the UK you are and what the labour rates are... You're looking at a good few hours if not more for the labour alone, and then you'll need a full tracking and alignment to set it all up properly too... So TBH, the price you've been quoted won't be far off IMO

I paid £330 to have my eibach springs fitted at the garage I use regularly. No mates rates all invoiced and taxed. So I would say £700 is high!

£700 is high IMO. I fitted the spring/dampers myself and just paid for the alignment. I found the F30 suspension easier to work on than the E91 I had so I wouldn't expect a garage to take more than 4 hours to swap them over.

£700 is proper chunky.
With RWD M Sport cars, you don't even need spring compressors. You can just undo the front top mount damper nut with a jack under the hub holding tension, then just lower the whole lot down slowly leaving the top mount bolted to the car. Hoik the old spring off, stick the new one on, raise it back up and put the nut back on. The rear is even easier as it's just a MK5 Golf style separated spring and damper arrangement. F30s are incredibly easy to work on. |

I got springs & dampers fitted, then 4 wheel alignment at a local garage for £350.
But to be fair, the guy did say he under quoted the job but would honour the quote anyway. The fitting of springs & dampers would be £350 alone.

£700 is taking the mick, 30min for each side on the rear and an hour for each front side and that's using axle stands and a trolley jack. Some hourly rate that
