water pump issues

hey guys i have a 2013 bmw 335i f30 and i was i installing coilovers and the socket accidentally touched the postive thermal in the engine bay twice just flr a split second and now i have a check engine light i cleared the codes but only one stays and it is CD9010 meaning my water pump isn’t turning on i checked all the fuses and checked that the red and brown wire to the water pump is at 12v what should i do now

That code does not mean the pump is not turning on. It means there is no LIN communication to the pump. The pump pulls 20-30 amps. You NEED to test the power and ground wires with a sealed headlight bulb. This will tell you if the wires can even carry the current required. If that checks out, then you will need an oscilloscope to test the LIN bus wire.

okay i understand that but is their a way i can separately test the pump its self to rule that out and how can i exactly check the LIN cable
