What have you done to your F3x today?

Cannot see a thread like this; so starting it here (mods; remove if there's already one going even though I have searched):

Ordered a new NS drop link for the F31 - hit a pothole in the dark last night on the way to hospital to see my Dad...

Driving home via the back roads and could hear a clunking at low speeds

Wheel off this morning and I could move the drop link far too much

Will replace them both (peace of mind) when the new ones land in a few days...

Least it's just that and not the tyre/wheel (thank goodness for 18s)

My F31 reached the end of its modding journey a few years ago - the spec and setup is just where I want it, and there's really nothing else I'd like to change (in terms of go / stop / corner).

It'll be getting a towbar in the next week or so because I need to start pulling a trailer full of new boating gear. This summer's 'fun' kit will be arriving soon.

There's a (very) slim chance of new wheels at some point (I never did get round to buying some HRE flowform rims to get rid of some unsprung mass) but in reality it's unlikely that I'll pour another £3-4K into it.

Drilled two holes in the plastic bit at the bottom of the windshield to let water drain out. The driver side has a drain hole where the wiper arm is fixed on to but the middle and passenger side doesn’t.

Why BMW didn’t put any drain holes there astounds me.

Kerbed the two nearside wheels and found a screw in a rear tyre!
Chipped off some doorpaint, when the wind ripped the door out of my hand, while getting out at Tescos today.
FFS.

(And it's friday 13th tomorrow)!

Looks good.

Although I sold my F31 some time ago, I had considered the 437m wheels as an option but on the cars I saw with them, they looked like they stuck out too far in the rear, interestingly yours look spot on...subtle but purposeful

Touring's suit them better as the rear arches are just that bit deeper; but they do need a touch of lowering to suit them best

I think they look better on an F31 than on the F30, on an F30 you need loads of negative camber and to be really low to pull the wheels off in my opinion and the F31 has slightly wider arches so no poke, well, minimal.

I had the ACS sport suspension set up on it with 442m's & 12mm spacers which was good, still sort of standard but with a +. Wish I had tried the 473's looking at that pic, but all a bit retrospective now.

I'm now looking for some 647m's for the 5

Personally I'd rather have the 18" 513Ms over the 437Ms - a much nicer and rarer wheel; they suit the F3x to a tee

Quote like the 641s too

Both lovely wheels, I've got some new wings and a bonnet going on in two weeks, splitter changer, and other bits of paint so I may have a wheel change up then too

They did on later cars. My 2018 F31 has holes from the factory.

That’s good to know, I’ll see if I can pick up a later production date plastic cowling somewhere.

I don’t think they ever changed it for the F32/F36/F33/F82/F83 as they’re all blank with no holes.

Must be different for the F30/F31/F80 as the ones coming up on eBay have holes in them.

Mine bizarrely has one hole, but the other on the near side didn't have one. (Drilled a small hole there as during the winter months the water collecting there was literally creating a ice block)

Mine was a 2018 too, albeit a F32.

Mine (2016 F31) has slots on both sides...much dirtier than the shiny ones photographed below though!
