Stolen headunit from F30
Went to my car as the boot was wide open and closed it. Only to then discover my steering wheel, head unit, screen and idrive control has been stolen.
The alarm didn't even go off, the boot doesn't link to the inside of the car. No smashed windows. How did they get in? Appreaciate people won't want it known on a public forum but if anyone knows how they got in please let me know. I guess i have to take it on the chin and pay of it all to be replaced but how do i stop it happening again? Also they've snipped some of the wires so i need plugs too, anyone able to help me out with an idea of what i need to replace it all and get it working again. Thanks |

Sorry to hear that mate. I had my steering wheel pinched two years ago. Get a disklok, but not sure what you can do re the head unit/screen. That is really shit.

Pissed that i had working m1 and m2 buttons mapped to the sport modes. Lost that now! And yeah, those idrive controllers are worth fuck all. The whole setup can't get them much money tbf. They'd do better robbing someone for a phone |

The east Europeans must have run out of local stock. As you say, all these £999 iDrive 6 upgrade kits on Ebay have to come from somewhere since just the touch screen from BMW is well over £2000, and the touch controller is £450 etc etc, so one has to be suspicious of the kit pricing.
