They are smaller than the 335 rotors and calipers, but they do fit.

I have seen them on a black E92 335 before.

Well, it is a bigger brake for the cars it was designed for. It was not designed for the 335i, which has a pretty huge rotor all things considered. The stock 335i front rotors are 348x30mm. This kit has 338x26mm rotors, so they have a 10mm shorter diameter and are 4mm thinner. It does have more pistons though, so if "more pistons=better brakes" in your book, then it is an upgrade. I don't subscribe to that theory myself personally, but some do....

The usual "BBK" suspects (Brembo, Stoptech, etc.) start at 355mm and go up from there.

If you just want it for looks, then it should be fine. If you are looking for upgraded performance, it might work better than the stock brakes, but probably not significantly. Just buy the 6 line SS kit from ECS tuning, replace the fluid with something like Motul RBF600 and get some better pads, and I'd bet the stock discs and calipers would work better than the BMW "performance" kit. The cost would be significantly less to.

Thank you Scollins a lot for detailed technical info!

I was thinking like 50% performance 50% looks..but since they are smaller, though with more pistons, I might have to think this over once more.

No worries. Now if BMW had just spent a little more time and effort making the stock calipers look way better, it would be easy! Just have them coated and upgrade the rest of the parts. But no, they had to make them look like crap.

At the very least, they won't perform worse than your current brakes, but they not perform significantly better in comparison to the money they cost. The advantage is that they are BMW, so the dealer should give you less hassle about them, they aren't as expensive as other kits and they do look pretty good.

But if you notice in my sig, I've got the STaSIS/Alcon kit for the front. I'm not running a rear upgrade (just yet), although when the front kit goes on, the mid and rear brake lines will get switched over to SS. My signature is a little premature though, as I've got the kit.........sitting in boxes in my garage! Haven't had time yet to get them installed...

Also rear dics aren't drilled/slotted so it won't look as nice in back as in front.

Where can we buy drilled dics (I wan't just the looks) for 335i will M3 dics fit, with original calipers etc.?
