Glock 17

Does anyone know anything about Glocks? I know absolutely NOTHING about guns - except for I hate them. But was just given a brand new Glock 17 from a retired police officer who was very insistent that I take it.

I'd like to get it out of the house ASAP cause it just makes me nervous. Can you even sell guns? (I mean I know you can't sell guns HERE, but can you even sell a gun in general?) Or?

I think it might be rare since it was the first year (I think) for production and it's definitely never been fired.

I'm asking here because, well - this is the only forum I belong to! And I remember seeing quite a few threads from gun enthusiasts in the past.

If you really don't want it, call 911 and tell the dispatcher you have a gun to turn in for destruction. They'll pick it up and take care of it for you.

How old is it? Brand New $450 to $500. If its in good or bad shape $150 to $350

Yes, it's new in box with booklet and other stuff - another loader thingy and a cleaner or some kind of brush.
It says 1987 on the box and 1988 on the instruction booklet, but I was told it was from 1991, but he wasn't sure.

Has a box of bullets from (I'm guessing) same time period.

You can sell it....You have to bring it to a dealer they will check it out(back round) then they(your gun dealer) will send it to my gun dealer then they will do a back round check then give it to me.....All back round check's have fee's

New they're about $500. If it's actually unique or collectable, you may get a bit more.
