Here was my weekend!!!
Went on a bi-yearly Ferrari Drive I do with my dad. About 35 cars. Almost all ferarris other than 2 lambos, a CGT, aston and the M6 I was driving. I usually go with my dad in his f430 spider but this time we too our friends so I drove his M6.
The drive was to vegas for 4 days of crazy driving around there! Heres me in the F430 with my buddy, and also a little preview of a video Im making of the weekend. Its a low res version right now. http://www.definitivecars.com/paupersrunfall09.html D |

I was just talking about this yesterday, the Ferrari F430 Vert in red would satisfy my need for exotics. Wouldn't need to lust over anything after that. Very nice.

My dad owns a Technology consulting firm. Grew it from 3 people to 55 over 24 years. But he has always loved and had nice cars, just nothing like this until recently.
I know that BMW's are the ultimate driving machines, But the F430 Spider is the ULTIMATE DRIVING MACHINE!!!!! Love it so much. Puts a smile on your face and anyone near you! D |

No, nope. That is a pretty obvious and straightforward threadjack. Like, Oakland style.

^ Let me know if you get serious. Too much on the maintenance end for me but I can help you find a deal if you don't mind a few miles on it.
Crazy deals on 360 verts if that would work. I like them better personally.

I'm still not sure what I want to do. I'm planning on getting the wife a 335i convertible right now, but maybe I'll get her an SUV as a DD and get a supercar convertible as a fun car for both of us. She likes the Aston Martin Vantage Volante, but I'd like a 911T vert or a Ferrari.

First off, Gonzo is right, I dont care. But only because I knew his jack would only last about 3 posts!!! Next time just say, I have an off topic question.
Back to Ferrari's, you can get a 360 for around or below 100k these days. Thats a lot better than the 250-350 for the F430. It took my dad 55 years to take the plunge, so it is not easy. But things are different now. Ive been thinking of getting a F355 Spider from around 98' they are running about 60-70k for a very nice one. Good luck with the adventure! D |

I don't mean that in the sense of you can't afford it and shouldn't buy it. More that some people just can't get past the price tag and enjoy the car for what it is. They see a small house everytime they look at it. I know a guy who makes 5m+ per year and he won't go above a 4CS in price for any car. |

I know both types. One friend is loaded and spends money like it grows on trees. Strippers, trips to Vegas on a whim...lots of partying etc. And his is no spring chicken.
Then there are people like my uncle. Has to be approaching, if not already, the B club. He bought a Lexus 460 about a year ago and I heard it was like pulling teeth for him to sign the papers. Drove a Honda until the wheels fell off before that. I fall somewhere in the middle of these two.

My mom does drive the ferrari but she doesnt like it cause she is nervous. Its much better if they are not nervous. My wife wont drive it even though she can. On the trip I was just on there was a yellow CGT owned and driven by a woman. She was one of the most aggressive drivers there!
Its a car, what can she do to it that she cant do to her own car. We all have insurance right? If you have a car like this you have to want to drive it. I think its BS when you get a brand new exotic and dont want to put miles on it. They are made to drive!!! |
