Who Do you Follow and Why?

The title says it all.

I have been following Varis ever since I learned about them three years ago. Their persistence in the realm of racing always amazes me. One example is Super Taikyu, which is basically like Formula 3 for GT500 racing.

The quality products that they offer to the public are fabricated using the same procedures and methods that are used during production of Super Taikyu parts for their cars as well as other Super Taikyu race cars.

I was on their blog recently and I saw a picture of a new carbon fiber door for their CZ4A Evo X. In short, WOW! Definitely something to appreciate to say the least.

Here is a shot of their Version 2 rear diffuser on a CZ4A Evo X on one of their customer cars.

Rumor has it that they are going to try and enter their E92 M3 into either the Super Taikyu ST-3 or ST-4 class using the products they have already fabricated as a baseline.

Who is your favorite automotive specialist and why? It doesn't have to be Japanese or even aftermarket.

Ah, I see we have a real JDM (no pun intended) guru in the house. For sure ASM is a company to watch out for. I am sure you have seen Mini's Cooper Coupe concept car. I am so curious to see if ASM will get their hands on one; considering everything that they have done so far with Saclam and the Mini Cooper S.

The only Japanese tuning houses I really notice are Power House Amuse / Ericsson and Top Secret. I like Amuse/Ericsson because they've done some nice stuff for BMWs and I like Top Secret because of their gold motif.

FOR SURE ASM will get their hands on it! They just can't stay away from the Mini! Have you seen that one Mini that they have where it still uses the old school oil? They have barrels of the oil and use on of those vintage oil pumps to pump it out of the barrel!

I looked into this with my one of my friends, totally awesome. ASM never ceases to amaze me; their investment in quality is unparalleled IMO.

I imagine you follow the ASM blog. Have you seen their new carbon card case for 63,000 yen?!?!?

It is an awesome card case for sure. Before I saw the ASM card case, my favorite was the Top Secret, full titanium card case.

Top Secret is an amazing company for those of you who have not heard of them. The owner/president Smoky Nagata built the "Nardo Supra" which is a twin turbo'd V12 Supra with over 1,000WHP and the Porsche Super 996 Turbo.

Damn that's awesome, Supra is one of those cars that's always been on the top of the food chain of cars lol.

63k yen, that comes close to $700, damns that's expensive. How much it the titanium case worth?

Indeed, the JZA80 Supra has been around for...roughly two decades; WOW, thinking about it, that is incredible for a car. The crazy things is that it is still very difficult to find a good Supra for less than $15,000. Same with the FD3S RX-7 and the NA1 NSX (except it is difficult to find a good one for less than $30,000).

The titanium Top Secret card case goes for 5,250 yen. Top Secret also offers a titanium card case that does not have a gradation burn for 2,100 yen.

On another note...here is an awesome steering I found Studie putting to good use; I would totally rock one...

...which of you would consider this? I have to admit, if I had a choice, BMW Performance steering wheel FTW!
