Who has the new one? And who has the "old" one? Tischer has the old kit on sale for $133 but I've been researching on this forum and I have a hard time figuring out some of the reviews if they are referring to the old kit or the new one that runs about $1500.

When ordering the kit i asked if it would be a good idea to couple the 14mm M-SPORT sway along with the performance springs, which would've made a COMPLETE setup with rear sway for >500$. Evan emailed me saying this setup was made for the sport, and did not recommend ordering the rest, so I just had the $133 kit put on. All in all, I would definitely recommend this. For 180 shipped + labor you have a better handling car, and not to mention brand new shocks/struts. This is great for people with 50k+ on their car. I am very happy! Still haven't decided on if I should get an alignment. |

Thought I mis-read that the first time I saw it on another thread. That's too good a deal! How does the ride on this BMW P kit compare to the original ZSP (and compared to Koni FSD)...
My priority lies with a better ride (crappy concrete freeway minefields here) over track-ready handling.

I ordered mine the other day after reading the review that Mr.5 wrote from last year. The 'old' performance suspension consists of just struts. It is the same struts that come on the m-sports in Europe and is an upgrade to the sport/m-sport in the USA. These struts are a bit stiffer and should eliminate the bounce you notice after bumps or when riding on freeways.

Not to hijack, but does this mean that if I was to get the package for $133 and buy ZSP springs I would have basically an upgraded suspension from stock? I am guessing the new sway bar only improves it further? Seems like a good budged upgrade would be getting the struts/shocks for $133 and buying some used ZSP springs.....

Would "old" performance shocks and eibach pro go well together?
I think it would. I wonder how it would compare to FSD and eibach or FSD and H&R.
What bout "Old" and H&R? |

Does anyone know if the "old" ps kit can be used with aftermarket springs to lower the car a bit, and if so what effect it will have on the ride/performance of the suspension system?

I think if you order the old kit and have ZSP, you can optionally order the performance springs to replace as well which are I think 5mm lower (heard various numbers).
31336788893 front springs (2) 33536788901 rear springs (2) not 100% on the spring part numbers (since it depends on which options your car came with)

yea i was confused at first and i've been reading Mr.5 thread again and again. the "old" strut kit will work perfect if you have ZSP in the first place, not bad at all for $133.
then i PM jason@tischer and asked about the springs. so ended up i spent another ~$360 more to pair a set of yellow performance springs and total i'm still only spending less than $600 on a complete set of Perf suspension minus the front sway. it is hecka a deal consider it is all OEM Perf part. will do the install next week and i bet the handling will improve a lot =)

I too just ordered my "old" performance suspension. ($133 ) I still need some help with spring options for my e90 LCI with the factory performance suspension. Any experts out there???? And yes, I would like to be able to lower the car at least a little.

Fronts 31336788894 $82.36 each Rears 33536788901 $88.76 each those are the yellow performance springs. but i'm not too sure what other hardware you need. i assume if your car is ZSP equipped, those are the only parts that you'll need, as least that's what i ordered.
