Help with KW V1 Setup.........Updated with pics!

Just installed a KW V1 setup on my E90 335XI. Im not sure if its a problem but I have the front spun all the way down and there still seems to be a significant gap. From the center of the wheel to the lip of the fender well is 13.5. The rears are spun down half way and I have 12 7/8 - 13 to the lip. I was hoping with this kit i would be able to have the front sit a little bit lower that the rear not the other way around. Any advise suggestions appreciated.

keep in mind the springs may take a couple of weeks to settle, so the front may drop a bit more after some time.

someone correct me if i'm wrong, but you need to compress the springs for the car lo go lower and that picture shows no compression of the spring at all.

+1. You would actually need to adjust your perch up towards the top of the shock tower in order to lower your car, not away.

you guys are wrong

the spring shows no compression because he's jacked up the car and took off the wheel, allowing the suspension to sag. This type of coilover does not use preload and adjustable shock bodies to change height. It's a simple adjustable spring perch only.

lower the spring perch, and you lower the car (because the spring sits lower on the shock body, and everything else is unchanged).

Its the complete opposite of this statement. You have it set to the lowest setting. Let it settle for a few days or week and then measure it again.

So is this the lowest or highest setting for the rear?

I can't tell if that is the highest setting, but it is raised above the lowest position. If you adjust the collar up, so that the purple spring seat touches the top lip of the black upper mount, you will lower the car.

Keep in mind this works the opposite way of the front, where you would lower the collar to lower the car.

Question for OP.

Did your setup settle to your liking? I've noticed this in some pictures people have posted after coilover installations and I'm hoping to learn from you experience since I'm in the market.

I am also not happy with the lowest setting on my KW V1s for xDrive.
I think it may be an xDrive specific issue, because OEM xDrive suspension sits 0.5-1" higher. So when you lower 2" from stock xDrive, it's not as low as if you lower 2" from OEM sport suspension.

Wow... definitely not set to the highest setting... it's a very simple system. You adjust the spring upwards and the car gets higher, and vice verse. Some of you guys are very wrong. I am surprised that you car isn't lower though. My coilovers are adjusted only halfway down and the car sits really low

Pretty sure it's an xDrive issue...
