Any mountain bikers?

Just curious to see if there are any other avid mountain bikers here? If so, what kinda bike(s) do you have?

Used to be (Cannondale Jekyll), then wasn't because of a back injury, currently thinking about getting back into it.

Mt. Snow Vermont ~Oct. 2004

Currently riding a roadie (2010 Scott CR1)

The day I got it (no bottle holders/computer, etc. installed yet)

Really thinking about building up an AM hardtail this winter. Something with 160mm or so of front travel with 2.5" tires F/R. Looking at Ragley frames at the moment.

I have a 29er single speed, but will eventually get another dual suspension rig. I sold my Intense 5.5, I just got tired of the 26" wheels and rode the single speed more. Plus moving from SoCal to Texas sort of negated the need for a mid-travel bike.

Thinking of a Turner Sultan or an Intense Tracer 29 for the next bike.

Old school '94 GT Zaskar hardtail with updated XT components. Always gets a nod from fellow bikers who remember the glory days of GT.

Sweet bikes!!! I unfortunately live in Norfolk Virginia so I don't get much use out of my 6" travel Felt Redemption2, ride my late 80's Cannondale road bike daily(ultegra hubs, 105 derailleurs, new style loop bars and stem, still using my stock frame shifters) and for my primary mode of transportation since it is much faster riding a bike in the city than taking the car. I enjoy riding it and can keep up with the A pace riders on shop rides as well as the 100 mile Tour de Cure rides, its just much stiffer than the carbon frames. Probably put over 3k miles on it since living in Norfolk.
Definately want a fixed gear next, thinking of the Raleigh Rush Hour.

while the cost of living is surely better, how are you liking the trails in tx? some of my fave trails were at cheseboro, near thousand oaks, and also topanga canyon. my more hardcore friends have been hitting telonix (sp?) and other DH tracks.

Yes sir

I loves me some downhill

2006 Giant Faith 2

I've added a whole bunch to it since I got it.

2009 Boxxer Team fork
2011 Avid Code brakes
e.thirteen chain guide
Easton seat post
DMR-V12 pedals
Minion DHF triple-compound front tire
High roller triple-compound rear tire

My rear derailleur is completely tweaked, though. It's at the end of its life (along with a lot of other stock parts). It is so bent that it will go directly into my spokes if I go into too low of a gear.
