Chevy truck vs 335i...

Why?

I understand they have a lot of torque, but how is this possible?

Supercharged diesels can be really really fast. Stock 335i, maybe a poor driver, or just a really quick truck. Who knows, that video is so dark, it could be a 328 for all we know.

A ridiculously tuned diesel can put down down 1000wtq. I raced a lifted diesel truck that had 8 inch stacks coming out of the bed, he almost beat me, then we he passed me up later down the road, I realized he was PULLING A BOAT! A boat that was actually bigger than my car. I would've lost if wouldn't have been towing.

FI diesels can make a ton of power. I have seen a Mac Truck run 10s in the 1/4. No reason you can't tune one up to beat a heavy 300 hp sports car. Hell, you can tune one up to beat a GT-R if you want to spend the money.

What an idiot, who would try to race someone while pulling a boat?

Huge compression, very low cetane rating diesel(low=good) and huge boost and enormous displacement = NICE!

Shit, I would if I was. Seeing the other guy's face when he sees the boat will be priceless every single time.

Funny, that video's from my hometown Leduc, Alberta. The track is called Castrol Raceway.

Modded diesel trucks here are as common as Civic's anywhere else.

That truck has some SERIOUS money dumped into it. Impressive.

A co worker of mine had bought a tuner for his truck that made a 6.7L ram go from 350 and 650 to about 550 and 1100 ft lbs. It was one quick truck and still got 20 mpg on the highway.
