Best Way to Remove Gum From Shoe Soles?

I just now noticed dried gum on the bottom of my Jordan XIII's I picked up last week. FML. How to I get it off? Yeah I know it's where nobody can see but I still want to remove it.

You're going to need an AK-47, a hand grenade, and some lemon pledge

you might have to go buy new laces, because honestly it still doesn't look good when you get it off

I tried Goo Gone. I put it in a tray and let the soles soak in it for 5 minutes then try and scrub it off without success. Should I try it longer?

tried that as well. i put each shoe in it's own plastic bag (don't want it touching my food) and left it in there for over 24 hours. it helped but most of the gum is still gooey

Just get new soles from a cobbler. Or just keep wearing them, it will wear off eventually.

Are we talking about the shoes released at the House of Hoops on Black Friday? I might have a second pair for sale if the gum doesn't come out.

Man up and don't give a damn if your shoe sole is pretty or not.

Gasoline and a lighter should get rid of the gum problem.

My suggestion was also the freezer, but if that didn't work, and goo gone didn't work, I have nothing worth adding.

Yeah those, the flints. They're my favorite because my dad bought them for me in '98 before I saw Jordan whoop on the hornets. I'm still going to keep them either way but would rather get it off. I plan on buying the other colorways as well

Freeze the shoe or turn a bottle of keyboard cleaner upside down and freeze the gum and flick it off with a sharp tool.

+1 I like his idea witht the Dust Off cleaner. Or take an ice cube and rub it all over the gum till it freezes off then clip piece by piece off with a sharp tool.
