Can you run diff tires on Front and diff on back?

I have just replaced my rears with Bridgeston pole positions - non rft - 265/30/19s on stock 230s

I need to replace the fronts - because one of them won't balance.

I want to go with Michelin PSS now. (I think)

Either case, the Pole Postion is not sold any more, and I have to go with the new Bridgestone if I want to be close.

QUESTION: what will happen if I have 2 fronts the same, and 2 rears from different vendors - but all non RFT?

I know it probably isn't recommended.... but what will happen to the handling/stability?

Its not "recommended" but realistically you can easily get away with it.

I ran it for several months awhile back and aslong as you have the same tire brand on the same axle you should be fine.

Only place it causes it issue is if your performance driving like on a track or REALLY pushing it curvy roads.

The different tires on the track will cause a difference in handling so the car becomes alittle less predictable.

On a daily driving basis, you wont notice a difference.

Yep, just make sure the tires have the same speed rating. PS2s are very good tires and may give you a little more oversteer feeling with the different tires front and back.

Thanks guys... I'll go with the PSS's and just burn the F out of the rears... won't be long to replace the rears too.
