He he he....

Did you all know you could this sort of stuff mailed to you??? Made for an awesome and un-expected Saturday knock at the door!

Ummm.... Yummy Stuff. The only Scotch I drink on the rocks and it's wonderful.... It really is a little bit different than most, unique. Not really Highland, not peaty enough to be considered lowland I don't think. Tasty and the damnedest thing it shows up on the doorstep. Good birthday gift.

Hell the Crown goes in the coke! The single malt I drink straight, except the Scapa.

If you haven't tried it give it a shot, it's interesting and NOT pricey.

Ah, a scotch man. I keep Famous Grouse around for everyday indulgences. Really good for a blend. The most purchased in Scotland is what a liquor counter guy told me. I do 1/3 scotch and the rest spring water with a lot of good ice. I slam em', pretty much. That stuff sounds tasty. I have never seen it for sale. Some of the higher ends are too peaty for my palate. Sipping, I like Glenn 12 with a touch of spring to break it. Any rum drinkers? Black Seal straight is pretty darn tasty. I better watch it or I am going to end up looking like todays avatar. Oh, happy B-Day! Some posts make it easier to tell who on here is older than my dog.

Thanks... Rum, I'm still drinking the bar stuff. Though my daily is a Cap'n Coke if I have a drink at all. I drink fairly lightly, which allows me to buy pricier stuff cause it will last for a few years. Right now rum wise I've got some Bacardi silver, Cap'n Morgans, Cap'n Morgans Special...(Stuff) , and some Sailor Jerry... Oh prolly some Malibu sitting up there as well...

Try some Dahlwinnie if you get a chance, it's really fine light Highland single malt. Very nice. So Much Scotch, so little time, and no where to enjoy a good Cigar along the way... Don't know a whole lot about scotch, but I'm learning...

what are you using to order the stuff?

I'm a big bourbon fan, I keep quite a few versions of that around

Booker's Bourbon is great stuff, 126 proof though so you don't drink much of it, but it's much sweeter and smoother than many 80 proof whiskeys

I may have to try this scotch you recommend.... to Bevmo!!

Imagine that you are a rummer. Black Seal is rich and really smooth. Try it. I have mixed it with coke. I can't do "spiced anything" when it comes to food or drink. Cloves, cinnamon any of that....unt uh. You will probably never do Bacardi again if you try this stuff. I like it with a twist of key lime and coke, no Pepsi. Too sweet. Yummy yummy yummy. My bev of choice after work playing some Hold Em' on the monitors at the sports bar is good ol' Budweiser in a bottle.

I like Makers Mark, and Jack and Coke works good. Haven't heard of bookers, but I'll try it. My neighbor is part owner of a bar downtown, I head in there to get educated once in awhile, or at least get introduced to new stuff. I enjoy rum, but I am not too pick Obviously. The Malibu cracks me up every time I see it on the shelf.

The Scapa was shipped from WineChateau.com

Seems to have a decent selection of wine, Cognac, etc...
t was a gift

I agree with you on that, even standard Jim Beam is one of my favorite bourbons

Thanks for the tip, Revlis, but they don't ship to TN. Nobody will ship wine, beer, or liquor to TN. Thank you powerful distributor lobby...

I had a buddy in Chicago send me a few bottles of Oban single malt this last spring (middle TN distributor stopped carrying it last fall). Hands down, my favorite single malt scotch. The most 'balanced' single malt.

Mostly (great) beer for me, for social drinking, though. The 3 bottles of Oban should last me a while.

For the rum drinkers, Cruzan makes some good high-end spirits ('Estate Bottled'). The dark is good neat. I brought a bottle back from St. Croix last year - TSA made me put it in my checked bag (survived, thankfully). No more cases of liquor as carry-ons, returning from the Caribbean.

If you like rum try to find some called Nassau Royale. By far my favorite, sometimes hard to find.

Oban? I have a bottle on the shelf I'll send ya... So Balanced I don't drink it. Actually I found Oban overly harsh, maybe I was doing something wrong?

It's sounding like I need to check out some different rums. I don't think I've ever had a Serious rum before.

Oh and Neurorad, I didn't have any troubles getting it Via Fed-Ex. But what's screwed up here in Washington state is that ALL liquor stores are state operated... Freaking Socialist Liquor stores. Which means there are no cool high end Liquor stores to visit now and then when looking for something interesting. It's lame every store you go into has pretty much the same crap.

That is a shame. The store I go to has about 20 or so different rums and scotches each. The will even let you sample them. Fridays and Saturdays they have little fancy foods for sample too.

The shop's website states on the front page that they don't ship to TN.

I bet you travel to Vancouver often enough that you could bring home a new bottle or 2 each visit. I've never visited Vancouver myself, but I've heard great things.

I suffered through 8 years of state liquor stores living in VA, but I was too young (undergrad) or too busy (grad school) to appreciate the limited selection much anyway. But I feel for you.

Sometimes I wonder if my high-end drinking (fine wine, great beer, single malts) and cigar smoking habits are just an excuse to drink and smoke a lot. Fortunately the thought disappears rather quickly, after the first few sips.

Oh, you had it Fed-Ex'ed. Had me wondering since you can't mail alcohol through the USPS. Not even cordial cherries.

Totally off course, kinda. I watched Intervention the other night. The ladies husband would hide the sauce. She had BIG bottles of Sams Club or something brown mouth wash. She was guzzling the stuff. I almost threw up, but could not turn it off. I am not justifying my taste for alcohol but man that was creepy.
