Decided to "downgrade" from my 2008 M6 and buy a new 2014 335i. I'm big on technology, so it's going to be great to finally have all the sick tech in the car now. No more plugging my iphone into the AUX input.

The 335 is worth more than the m6... It's and upgrade in that regard.

But it's hard to beat the v10... Did you have SMG or 6sd?

Sorry, didn't see this response before.

You are right, the 335i is actually an upgrade, worth about $20k more than my M6 is right now. That's why I had "downgrade" in quotes. ;-)

I have the SMG. I'm going to miss all that power, but it's difiicult to use it to its full potential on a small island with no track.


I've been checking the status and today finally she is on a ship!!! She got loaded onto the Mignon on the 24th. Date into PORT HUENEME, CA is Sept 18th. Then I assume it has to get loaded again to Hawaii.

I can see it now, she will be delivered the first week of October, the same week I take the LSAT. I will be in full study mode and won't be able to play with her. :-( Oh well, something to look forward to after the test!

It is a couple thousand below invoice. I ordered through Pentagon car sales. You have to be active duty military and stationed overseas (Hawaii is considered overseas). My BMW dealer here said they couldn't even come close to that price. :-)

Yep. My $62K MSRP vehicle was $57.5 before tax. This is a killer deal. Nicely done.

Got my email from BMW Military sales yesterday! The Mignonette should arrive in Port Hueneme, CA, on Friday. Unfortunately then I have to wait for it to get put not ANOTHER ship to come to Hawaii. WILL THE WAIT NEVER END!!?
