18x10 et40

Would 18x10 et 40 work for the rears? Or is it to high of a offset?
Also what tires? 275-35-18? Or 265? Haha thanks

Should fit, my expertise on ETs isn't expert level but I think that's within range of fitting. Seems I recall someone fitting 18/9.5 with ET38 so I'm guessing you could squeeze in 10s with a et 40, but let's let one of the tire/wheel experts weigh in.

If you want 35 profile you may want to go with 265s though. I'd have to do more math than my lazy mind wants to do right now to figure that out. I'd try to match the front and rear diameters as close as possible and go from there.

Oh and I'm assuming you are asking about F30s (no clue if E9X fitment is about the same or not)

Ben

They'll definitely fit in the rear, the 18x10 ET40 is done by BBS on a couple of fitments for the F30.

The fronts should work too, it may be tucked slightly. You may want to use a spacer, more for the inside clearance than the outside.

We've done MORR VS8.2's with 19x10 rears on 275 width so your 275/35/18's should fit, but the 19's are going to have less chunky of a sidewall. 265/40's will work also, but the sidewall may feel a little tall.

Definitely yes for the rear axle, definitely not for the front axle

Will the front 245/40/18 and rear 275/35/18 tires fit the f31 xDrive car with the H&R sport springs?

XDrive-wise those sizes should be within 1% diameter difference. But you should look up the exact tire model that you intend to buy under the TireRack Specs tab. Make sure that diameters are within 0.2". 0.3" or higher could break your expensive XDrive Transfer Case.

But the wheel widths and offsets will determine if you hit.

I have front 245/40-18 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires on stock BMW 400M wheels which are 18x8.0" ET34. I'm lowered 0.8" in front and I clear everything fine. My square setup has the same in back with no problem

Hope this helps!
