Question about my 2014 build

Just put in my 2014 build yesterday - dealer is going to try to trade production slots with somebody - goal is to get my car here 2nd-3rd week of august. I wanted to give you my build summary, but I had a couple questions....

335i
M Sport Line
AW exterior
VB interior
wood trim

PACKAGES:
DHP
DAP
PREMIUM
TECH

STAND-ALONE OPTIONS:
SIDE/TOP VIEW CAMERA
Sport Auto with paddles
2NH M Sport Brakes
19" style 403 wheels

Port Install:
MPPK
Black kidneys

I have about 4-5 days to change my order so here are my questions:
1) Wife has vetoed the 19's and the black kidneys...."too gangster/immature" I'm not totally sold on the 19s, but they do look better in person. I actually like the 18s better, but they look small compared to the 19s. Anybody regret their wheel choice? Any difference in ride quality?

2) Should I get the HK sound? I do listen to a lot of radio/music, but do not consider myself an audiophile.

thx for your help - the forum feedback has always been helpful.

I would just stick with the 18" wheels since the style looks better IMO, you get better ride quality, and the tires are also cheaper to replace when the time comes.

I find the base stereo in the F30 to be good enough even though I listen to music a lot, but just like you, I'm not at audiophile.

I disagree. Get the 19"s and the HK sound.

before i went to the dealer, i was def going to get the 18's. once i saw the 19's, they looked much better in person so i ended up ordering them. but i'm thinking about calling him to cancel them off the list.

I also prefer the 19s. Tire prices are very marginally higher, not worth worrying about.

Regarding HK, this is a must have option in my book. Visit your dealer and compare a car with and without HK. Unless you only listen to talk, AM or Sirus (sounds like AM) you'll appreciate the extra fidelity. HD radio sounds much better on HK system.

And your timeline for production to 2nd-3rd wk August delivery seems aggressive. I'd say more like end August.

I have no experience when it comes to wheel size and how it would affect ride quality. But, however if you love listening to music i would totally get the hk audio. Just recently i was at a party rolling balls listening to music and i just loved music at the time, even in normal situations i love listening to good quality music. So i decided then and there to add the hk system to my order. I think it would be totally worth it if you love music as much as i do. But hk is optional, you can always do something with sounds aftermarket.

Yea I added DHP to my order a week or so after ordering and I'm convinced that it also pushed back my production week, despite the CA and BMW NA saying that isn't the case at all. Perhaps they were just late in general.

Are you still able to get the Z4A M Performance Power kit? I heard it is temporarily unavailable on cars produced after mid-July. I just ordered a 335xi M Sport 6 manual transmission car and hope I can still get it (I think the rumor is around launch control features for auto cars). My car is not due here until mid-October.

Ordering as a port installed option is like $870 at invoice. If we have to wait then ordering from the dealer is more plus you pay the 1.5 hours for them to install. A several hundred swing. I am bummed. I can't have my girlfriend's S4 faster than my daily driver. The other car... well that is just faster.

I recall BMWNA saying the MY14 PPK will be unveiled later this year. Expect around November.
