M-Performance Power Kit Delayed
I was notified today that the M Performance Power kit (option Z4A) I ordered on my 2014 335xi will not be available until later this year. This delay applies to cars produced after July 1. Here's the notice:
Publish Date: July 17, 2013 From: Aftersales Development Expiration Date: July 31, 2013 Important Subject: M Performance Power Kit (0Z4A) Temporarily removed from VIA ordering Hello, Due to an engine update starting with July 1st production, the BMW M Performance Power Kit will be unavailable for ordering through VIA (VDC Installed Accessory program). We expect a new Power Kit to be available for the new engine late 2013. For vehicles produced before July, 2013, please use the following guide to determine which Power Kit part number to order: 1. The vehicles’ Plant Integration Level will need to be verified prior to ordering the Power Kit. 2. The Plant Integration Level can be checked by performing a Key Read and selecting Vehicle Key Data, then Software Integration. 3. If the Plant Integration Level is older than F020-12-11-500 then the 11 12 2 294 611 kit will need to be ordered. Vehicles requiring the 11 12 2 294 611 kit will need to have a PuMA case submitted for programming assistance by the BMW of North America Technical Services Department. 4. If the Plant Integration Level is between F020-12-11-500 and F020-13- 06-50x, the 11 12 2 334 336 kit will need to be ordered. 5. If the Plant Integration Level is F020-13-07-50x or newer, then either 11 12 2 294 611 or 11 12 2 334 336 cannot be ordered. Again, we expect a new power kit to be available by late 2013. Best regards, Jake Mooney |

They made changes to the dme software for 2014's and there were tweaks and changes that don't work with the 2014. Dinan is in the same boat also right now.
