How long at VDC and Dealer before pickup?

I'm going nuts. Car landed in USA on 7/19 at Port Hueneme, and that's basically where the tracking kind of stops. I know a day or two at the VDC, then 2 days to truck up from Southern CA to Oregon, then another two days at the dealer? My CA is off on tues/weds, and I'm HOPING I can pickup my car on Friday? Is that a reasonable time-frame to expect? Do CAs deliver cars from the dealerships to customers on weekends? It's hard to believe that the 2 month wait is almost over. This week feels like longer than the other 7 I've waited.

Mine came off the boat on a Monday and I picked it up Thursday evening. 1 day transport from the port to my dealer. The rest was VDC/dealer prep time.

VDC's are almost never open on weekends, and it takes 1-2 days to clear this.

Seeing as you landed on a Friday, your 1-2 day count probably started on Monday.

Then it awaits a car carrier to your dealer, so that's another few days.

Your dealer will need 1-2 days to prepare it for you to take it as well.

I'd say you'll have it by Friday-Monday at the latest

Your dealer should know if it boarded a car carrier or not. Mine landed on Thursday and was awaiting transport still as of Monday morning.

Found out today it went out on a car carrier on 7/19 - the stars must have aligned, I'll take delivery this Friday... woooooooo fricking hooooooo! Basically 2.5 more days.

Dang that's a long time on a car carrier!

But you're a few hundred miles away whereas I'm 3 hours haha.

Mine arrived in Port Hueneme on the Aniara this morning as well! My dealer is about 60 miles from the port so as long as I get my new ride by the end of the weekend I'll be happy!

Sounds like it. After work tomorrow for me started out in my head as 4ish, then last night I was saying 3ish, waking up this AM I was like maybe ill leave at 2. Lol.

Waiting to hear from my dealer to confirm but according to the 800 number this morning my car is waiting for a 30 minute truck ride to my dealer. Anticipation is killing me as the finish line is really so close now.

If only public accounting was as flexible

Although there is a 3 hour time difference so we'll virtually be getting it within the same hour!

It's also actually hilarious we both have 2013's, that are 328's, that are EB, and are getting them within minutes of eachother

Awesome.... I am looking forward to your review of the new nav/touch controller and other gizmos and gadgets. This will be my first BMW so I won't have anything much to compare it to as I am coming from a 10 year old Toyota, but I am sure it will be an awesome machine. I can't wait to drive it!

In doing a quick Autotrader search, it appears that other MY14 328/335 sedans are already in some dealer inventories so I think it's safe to say the Monroney hold has lifted.

The CO won't come until the day after the vehicle is physically delivered. So, I'm sure it may be dropped off today, but you can't take the vehicle for 24-48+ hours as the CO is mailed separately after delivery.

CO Certificate of Origin needed to make a title for the car. Sometimes called MSO Manufacturers Statement of Orgin.
