Wondering if anyone has been in this boat. changing from Buy to lease at or before car delivery at the dealership was due.

How did the final price/MF adjustments etc. go.

It doesn't matter if you want to change from one or the other. Only change would be if you were getting Loyalty Cash and decided to pay cash instead of financing/leasing. You would lose that $500

what about the order itself? for instance im doing ED in a few weeks and am considering adding M perf susp as a PDC install? do I have to make that decision when I sign the contract or can I give my dealer a ring and he can add it on anytime before the boat shows up since id pay for it separately anyway?

Ok ,I am waiting on some immigration papers to show up (employment visa extension for another 3 years), so BMWFS makes an assessment that I can have a lease of 3 years. Did the same way 3 years back and ended up with a 35 month lease instead of 36, because the visa was not valid for just extra month. They are that strict, but I understand.

I am in a fix because I cannot order a car with lease worked out without my approval notice. Though I think it would be much easier to custom order if I was buying straight out.

I do have a good relationship with my local dealership, but I am not sure if this is ethical that you start off with a buying intention just to place an order, when you definitely know you will lease. Maybe BMWFS will frown on this.

I do know that this is a visa extension so it should go through.

You may have experience with similar buyers so I am asking you as a request

Since your paying that separate and is a VPC installed option, contact your dealer and let them know you want it added

All manufacturers work the same way when it comes to Visas. You can't get a loan beyond the time left on your Visa. When dealing with something like that, you want to be as upfront as possible and know which way you want to finance before doing anything

Exactly the same reason I am not even talking about pricing and ordering before I get my docs ready. I have been mindful of this though was secretly hoping there may be a way to order sooner before I run out of the Oct31 deadline for delivery.
