Two pretty much identical F30 328i's
Seriously looked at Q50 hybrid and IS250....
Finally decided to buy a clone of my car for wifey replacing an E90325i. Both MSport with ZDA ZTP ZPP ZLP 2TB and 494. The new one rides about 3/8's of an inch lower, gets 28.5 MPG with mixed driving vs about 25.5, plus suspension feels a lot firmer. Ironically the new one has one-size all-season tires vs staggered Bridgestone summer tires. But the thing that frustrates me the most....the garage door opener of the new one absolutely wont mate with the opener.... I had some trouble with the old one but this one wasted hours and hours already and just wouldn't budge. |

tried everything already
Thanks.
Bear in mind the 10-month old F30 doesn't have this problem and I was able to program it. SA went through verifying I did all the right things. Yes I am well aware of the rolling / alternating code blink sequences. Next and last step is to try with a friend's garage door. |

both 2013 for sure 100%
Also regarding the UGDO:
$100 of NEW remotes later I got it to work. The BMW F30 UGDO will not pair with ANYTHING you buy from Lowes or Home Depot. Even if it’s the Genie brand. You need to get a VINTAGE one from Moutnain View Lock and Key (or Craigslist, or Ebay) I recall Deep’s bulletin saying “use the large” one and got this idea. LARGE doesn’t mean WORK. It has to be the one button ones that are no longer sold. Johnson Controls, who is the OEM of this BMW UGDO, did a MAJOR screw up. Anyway mystery solved. |

Not sure if its relevant but turns out
My older black one is an N20 and the white one is an N26.
Found the info by plugging in the VIN into bmwvin.com. I like the new one better, less lag and more responsive. |
