Canadian Sirius Install

Hi guys,

I have a 07 Canadian 335xi with sat prep installed. I am interested in getting Sirius but unfortunately it is not available through BMW Canada.

I called a BMW Dealer in the US and they agreed to sell me the satellite kit but refused to do any programming as they claim there is an incompatibility with their coding and Canadian coding and that they would fry my car if they coded it.

The question is, if I buy this unit, can a Canadian dealer code the car for Sirius and will it work?
