ECM for pre-11/12.
M Performance intake silence (whatever that is). Side decals that go on the sills. Engine cover. And lots of pep and GO! I've promised myself to wait until 12/2013 to get it, when my dealer usually runs a 20% "installed" accessories special. I refuse to be a guinea pig again with the M Performance parts, lol!

New steering column, other new/updated electronic control modules, etc. At one time, we had an informal list going.
Just play around with www.realoem.com for a while. You can drill down into each of the parts categories and see where parts changed effective Nov 2012, where applicable. |

New Power Kit F30
I had a phone call to the BMW service in Munich today and they mentioned that you must not have the M Sport Package to get the Power Kit (as the old ones too). The new Power Kit will be available at March 2013...

Yeah that comment was very un-clear, you could get an E9x M-sport with PPK.
Maybe Munich just doesn't speak very clearly. :-)

well according to the latest spec sheet, M Sport IS a requirement, which is what I'm assuming the Munich person meant...face palm.

NO
as I wrote - THE M SPORT PACKAGE IS NOT REQUIRED to get the new M Power Kit for the 335i F30 (AVAILABLE at march 2013).
I link to the german specification (sorry I had no time to translate it at all): http://www.bmw.de/de/topics/service-...ryId=8913.html I asked some technical engineer in Munich and he said the same... maybe the US version is another one but that's hard to believe... There is no technical need for having the Sport Package (cooler is the same!) - all Performance Packages was and will be available without a Sport Package needed (the Power Kit is one of the best selling packages and with the needings of the M sport package - BMW is enjoying all the money earning with the power kit *g*). But this is only the German specification (same in UK) - where can we see the US specification (I only found some assumptions but no real specification originally publicated by BMW...) ^For the same price (if that's how it pans out), yes...but Dinan hasn't said how soon they'll have their F30 software ready. Still nothing on their website; 3-series stuff only goes to 2012 model year.

Has anyone with an E-body series done a back to back comparison of a PPK and Dinan tune on a 335i? I suspect Dinan isn't as conservative, and PPK is more conservative...I saw a database on the E90post forum, and saw that the real numbers aren't as high as we expect for Dinan - the 100 tq is at the crank, not wheels.

I am in a way that thinking out if your 335i is with this powerkit on, although just 20 hps can be gained, once you put a piggyback/flash on your car, the piggyback/flash if counting like increasing the power by %, for example 20% for Stage 1, mean : 306 X 1.2 (20%) = 367 326 X 1.2 (20%) = 391 so in Stage 2 let's say 25% increment, by requiring you install IC + DP, IC + DP let's say can gain 40 hps basically, that would be : - 346 x 1.25 = 433 366 x 1.25 = 458 The above just my personal estimation, I just think about whether the N55 engine with PPK can get more boost than just N55 w/o PPK IF both with piggyback or flash, if so, the above hps number won't just 366 if IC & DP added. |

that's a sure fire way to confuse your ECU...don't think it's possible, but willing to watch others with this experiment!
