I had mine done in late December, so I am curious how long it took to get also. My SA apparently screwed mine up, saying I wanted $300 in BMW Lifestyle credit, so I am trying to get that straightened out as well. How hard can it be to check a box for $200 prepaid Visa? Fortunately, I know the Service Manager fairly well, so he is looking into it for me.

Service Advisor probably wanted the commission on the sale from the $300 voucher, they get nothing for the $200.00 visa g/c. Most push to upgrade the hardware because the part is $800 bucks for them.

Only applies to 2013 and below cars. It's a BMW cellular signal change for those models.

Does anybody know if my 2013 Active Hybrid 3 is affected? I noticed that real time traffic hasn't worked in a while but I didn't really question it because I only drive the car on the weekends now that I have a company car. I just assumed that my subscription ended since the car is more ham 4 years old now. Will I need to spend money on a retrofit to get real time traffic or will I be able to just renew a subscription? My AH3 was one of the first models to get NBT but it looks like the problem has something to do with the communications module? Any explanation would be helpful!

I would love info too? I am a new 2014 F32 owner, and if this is about real time traffic, I have noticed mine doesn't appear to work.

Applies to 2014 cars with CIC instead if NBT as well. At least it did to my Jan 14 built f31. That was almost half way through that model year.

Ended up opting for the retrofit.

This is not because I find BMW Assist particularly useful. But, it can be used to locate the car in case it is stolen. Potentially, well worth the $200 if it increasing the chances of the subject being caught.
