Ebay rear diffuser experience??

Just bought a dual exhaust for my 328i so I need a new diffuser. There are a lot on eBay that are cheap but I don't want to order a $125 one and find out it's a POS. I'm looking for one That I don't have to paint. Anyone have any experience with these?

Thanks

bought a quad exhaust one for $125, it was pretty good. The only reason I didn't keep it was because the exhaust tips were too big.

My experience with Chinese-made add-ons is that they're a waste of money. The old saying "you don't get what you don't pay for" holds true.

Have one on my 335. I think it was about $200 plus shipping. Fitment is about 95% OEM, and it looks great. I would just go with OEM, but I'll only have this car for a year, so I wasn't too worried about less than perfect fitment. I will say it shipped pretty quickly from Taiwan. Just under a week.

"Usually" the Taiwan made products are better than Chinese made products in terms of fitment. I had a diffuser for my e90 from Taiwan and it fit about 98%..and was over half the cost of OEM.

I do wish BMW made the M performance diffuser in carbon fiber...instead of just PP.

I was interested in this one but when I messaged the guy he said it has to be sanded, prepped and painted?

Strictly judging by the pics.

This is the exact unit I ordered and installed about 6 months ago on my F30.

Perfect fit.

Sure, you can paint it. Sand prime and paint and all that. But I opted to leave it matt black (which is the color it came in) as my vehicle is black and that part of the car tends to get dirty as hell from the exhaust fumes.

Like I said, strictly looking at the pics... This is what I have on my car right now.

How has it held up? I live in MA and it has to survive the winters up here

Installed in Jan from what I recall.

Between then and now we have seen about -15c to -20c on many occasions.

No issues, after a wash looks like new!

I'd have more faith in this one fitting then an eBay one from Taiwan. Shipping is $14 and it has a 2 year warranty(according to the website)

Purchasing an Ebay diffuser is a crap shoot. I recently sold mine after I painted it for about 35% of what I paid. I suppose I could say that it was about 95% fitment, except that the 5% that didn't fit was right were the screws were supposed to go in.

Ebay parts

I personally don't have experience with the rear diffuser but I did buy one of the CF trunk lips from China for about $130. It came a little bit used and bent, however, with a lot of strenuous adjustment, I was able to get the lip to fit 90% perfectly. I would recommend buying it because they look the part and will be able to fit almost perfectly with a little bit of work. If it doesn't, then at least you didn't spend a ton of money...

I'm right in Braintree so we probably crossed paths. If you see a white 340 w/ a black roof, just wave. I think there's only 1 other one around here.

I bought my diffuser from ebay seller advanation. Had it painted gloss black and fit was spot on. All the holes lined up and the sides that people usually complain about were not an issue (pics below).

I just put dual exhaust on my 428 and purchased the diffuser from bavauto. Fast shipping and good product. Everything lined up perfectly. Left it matte black for now, may paint in the future. Waiting on BMS tips

I got a $160 rear diffuser for my 335i recently, fitment was pretty bad. It was from a seller multiple people here on the forum used. First 2 screws went in fine, last few, not so much, lots of pulling bending, etc... Really small gap on one side of it but at the end, it looks OK.
