Vorsteiner 20" VFF103s Installed on F32
So we teamed up with Vorsteiner recently to help them release their new VFF designs for 2015.
We ended up fitting a set of 20x8.5 20x10 VFF103s in their Carbon Graphite finish with a set of 245/35/20 275/30/20 Pirelli P Zeros. Here are some photos I was able to snap after the install! First Impressions: There was an instant gain in performance! The VFF103 20x10 rears only weigh 22 lbs, compared to the ~30 lb 20x10s on the car before. The car felt lighter and quicker, flow formed really makes a difference! The Pirelli P Zeros were of course amazing, difficult to get them to even squeak on a hard turn. Heres a sneak peek from the Vorsteiner shoot! These will be available in 19x8.5/10 and 20x8.5/10 for the F30/F32 Let me know what you guys think! cmon dude........you noticed an "instant" gain of performance?? That's like when people don't opt for a sunroof and call their car more "performance" oriented because they saved a gazillion pounds on due to the weight of the sunroof. WTF!!
wheels look good tho........ |

I went from 20x10s that weigh about 30 lbs each to 20x10s that weigh 22lbs each. If you read into it you'll find that an 8lb/wheel weight savings actually makes a significant difference. And I believe the Pirellis weighed less than the other tires too. I actually did notice a big improvement, the car picked up a lot quicker! I was pretty impressed, I never really cared much about the weights of wheels before but now I'm itching to pick up a flow formed set for myself. |

Those look great. What offsets are they and which studs/lug nuts did you convert to?

Those are some serious BIG ASS RIMS for that car. Where did you get those? At PIMP my Ride?! (could not resist)
Those rims would not last a day in New England area. Stunning! I loved the looks, I'm jealous. |

Yes 8lbs per wheel is a massive savings and you should notice that. Looking at losing about 250lbs of unsprung weight. Looks great. Just wish whoever made the BMW front lips would make them fit more flush in the corners on the 4 series. I wonder if you could sand the back part down to scoot it more against the bumper to avoid the gaps on the sides? |

All of Vorsteiner's new VFF series wheels are now all pre-finished from the factory, so no build time and perfect finishing!

Haha, I knew that was coming... I picked up an extra set of reflectors which are at the paint shop right now. They didnt match well the first time they came back, so they're getting redone... so I just used the closest matching vinyl I could to cover the orange while I wait Quote:

This ones actually a replica lip, the fits about 90% which I can live with. I'm just scraping it over everything so I dont mind it getting beat up. Quote:
I know Vorsteiner spent a lot of time perfecting their offsets so that all their fitments are able to tuck a full sized tire without rubbing or stretch. I was worried about the 275s at first since I had 255s on my old set, but this fitment allowed me to tuck the 275/30, with absolutely no rubbing. |

22lbs for a 20x10 is light... but not unbelieveable. AG is coming out with a directional flow formed wheel soon, which I weighed myself and it came out to just 20lbs! |

That's not hard to believe. My 20x10.5" Vossen CV3 are 24.5lbs. Trying to find a picture, but I cannot find the tread. Someone put them on a scale before mounting the tires. Last edited by Dippydo; 02-12-2015 at 01:08 PM.. |
