LPFP issue
My car died on me for the second time in two weeks due to loss of fuel pressure in the tank. The first time it happened my gauge was reading a little under half tank, about 140 miles left. I had a drivetrain malf. pop up on the dash and the car died on me, and I opened the tank up and it was bone dry inside.
I filled it up with a gallon of gas and drove to the station and filled the tank all the way up but it stopped at 9 gallons.. Does anyone have any advise cause I don't know what's going on with this? |

Bump. Recently dropped my gas tank and replaced it with a different one and also swapped out buckets to replace the fuel regulator and it still didn't work.
Any advice?? |

Possibly, yes....not 100% certain as LPFP does not have its own icon. Just a logical guess as it's always been under the fuel icon with higher amperage...but, I'd certainly start there.. .

I just checked it along with all of the other fuses that go with the fuel icon and they all checked out good, except for fuse #150. I don't have a fuse there but that could be a normal thing for N55's.

I was getting some really weird shit going on with my fuel tank level when my HPFP failed, I didn't think it was related though. I got the following codes:
193208 (multiple times) tank level, plausibility: deviation between consumption and level change 11A002 (2 times) Fuel Pressure below target 1193001 (11 times) fuel level sensor, left, signal:short circuit to positive 110001 cylinder injection shutdown: too low pressure in the high pressure system When I pulled the LPFP the tank was so full it overflowed, I never had that happen before and I've pulled my LPFP at least 6 times before. Not sure if it's in any way at all. I checked my fuse and it was good. In the end I changed my HPFP due to the various issues and finally the 110001 code pointing to the HPFP. I also changed my level float/sensor on my LPFP but I don't know if that had any effect or not. I haven't had any related codes since. The only fuel level issue I have is that when the low level light comes on the miles remaining will drop a lot faster than seems realistic.

That might be what I'll have to change next. That along with the fuel lines going from the hpfp to tank are the only things I haven't changed yet. |

Update: I changed the HPFP but it didn't fix the issue, it still died when the tank got past half. However, now i keep getting active O2 sensor codes so I'm going to replace those along with the LPFP with a Walbro 525 and see if that does anything...

I'd say to replace the O2 sensor first before upgrading the lpfp

The main problem is that my fuel isn't transferring from the left side of my tank so that's why I'm trying the lpfp first. I don't think it'll fix it but it's worth a shot. |
