I've recently installed the Bavsound Stage I & was extremely pleased with the result coming from stock Hi-Fi. After patiently waiting, BSW finally released the ghost subwoofer for the F30.

Ordered mine can't wait to install it.

I've got my MCNW Sub Box coming so I'm going to wait and see how it all sounds once the trunk sub is in. I don't really expect to need these at that point but if you're not doing a trunk sub then IMO these (or something like them) are a must-have.

True it hasn't exactly been released but it's been a long wait for BSW to release the ghost subs. I think they have a discount for early pre-orders.

Yup, $100 discount on a 150 pre-orders (via invitation only). They state they'll NEVER discount these subs again!

I just got the invite too. Did the S1 upgrade and it rocks, but I want to be sure this will work well with an amp upgrade too.

Placed my discounted pre-order this morning as well. Also shot them an email for any instructions on how to remove the front seats. When I did the Stage I this summer, I relied 100% on their youtube video. So hopefully, they have something for this sub swap.

If not, has anyone come across any sites or videos of front seat removals on the F32?

I think some of the recent confusion in this thread is coming from the fact that Bavsound has offered their Ghost Subwoofer systems for a number of years. That is, the trunk mounted sub/enclosure w/ integrated or separate sub amp.

The trick with the existing Ghost Subwoofer systems from Bavsound was that they didn't fit the trunks of the 335i, rather only the 328i (or any other series w/o dual exhausts). I'm 92% sure of my logic here and actually remember reading something from Bavsound claiming it was specifically the 335i exhaust system that didn't allow for the "floor room" for install.

What was just announced as underseat replacements, despite being called "Ghost", are a bit different. These seem to be the Long-awaited underseat upgrades, that are powered off your OEM amp...not a trunk installed bass option.

What's further interesting is upon just visiting their website and running the "will it fit" option for my '11 335i, it now says their trunk installed Ghost system is compatible with my car...which it never reported before. So I'm unsure if the trunk installed option for those with dual exhausts have been modified to now fit.

For what it's worth I'm a Hi-Fi car w/ their Stage 1 installed now for about 2 years (love it...but have officially given up on their Stage 2 amp upgrade!). The price reported back for the Ghost system for my car was $1097 and showed the full enclosure picture when selecting "What's included".

I did a hypothetical search for my soon to be ordered '16 435i Gran Coupe, and it showed me a "Ghost" option that was just two underseat woofer replacements to be powered off an existing amp. Price $397. They did not show a trunk installed option for the '16 Gran Coupes.

I hope I'm not too far off bass here (pun intended)! Any clarifications, please add em in.

I have BS1 + bimmertech amp + a trunk sub. Would this upgrade for midbass be worth it for me? my under-seats are lowpassed at like 80hz
