thanks. the other day I put my foot as far forward against the floorboard and i felt tapping under it. and I've also noticed it only does it under certain conditions such as on a hill.

literally no noise under the timing cover at all. I put a stethoscope all along the front cover and along the timing chain areas and heard almost nothing.
