Rear reflector (the read ones)
Just curious to see if anyone has painted over them or replaced them with the IND painted reflectors?
this thread: http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=726900 I'm kinda thinking about the things to do once the car's here... so far grilles and P3 gauge I think are on the list. Rear boot lip down the track, N20 piggyback from BMS probably, pedals to match the footrest probably... and then there's the rear reflectors that i'm iffy about. More so, unsure how to get them out i guess and whether they'd look funny? Opinions? |

I'd hold off on the piggyback for a while if I were you.
Don't get my wrong, I'm all for tuning, but it's worth waiting for some decent R&D to be done first. Cosmetic stuff you can take it or leave it depending on who you ask it's a personal thing. I like the car as it is. |

Yes, something from BMS. Based on the Powerbox improvement for the 325 and the E90 335i tunes on offer from them, I would expect a nice N20 boost as well from their Stage 1 php unit, currently on offer.
However, I am first going to enjoy the car in stock mode & allow the car to run in without additional boost. Enjoy the car as it is when you get it. That's what I'm doing at the moment. Learning about all it has to offer, from it's super 'mean' M-Sport look, great ride, spectacular LED DRLs and wonderful night lighting.

Reflectors matched to the diffuser look good on the m-sport I think, particularly a white one. Makes the diffuser look more like the F10 m-sport one.

Given their earlier work on the N54 platform I wouldn't use their tunes in the early stages of development personally. From what I've seen BMS have a tendency to be quick to market and cheap which may make good business practice but it's not something I wouldn't attach to my engine right now. It wasn't until after a few years their JB4 was at a standard I would have used. Who knows, maybe they've learned something from tuning turbocharged engines now? At the end of the day it's your car, I'd just advise you hold off on their gear for a while and let other people guinea pig. |

+1 on the tune... let the Americans be guinea pigs for a while.

Which is what I went on to advise Spikey. No, I'm not going to do anything non BMW to my N2O - oops, sorry N20 engine for a while. However, as I have almost 2 years problem free experience with their Powerbox, I have no doubt that a later version of an N20 tune will be great.
