Reversing Sensor Beep...

Is there a way to stop the beeping once you have finished parking? I know it stops once the engine if off or you drive away but sometimes I was to reverse park and sit with the engine on when waiting for someone. The beep carry s on even when I stick the level in neutral.

I thought like that at first, but then i did read it and did learn a couple of things, despite having been on this forum a lot! If you didn't know about the parking sensor button then i bet there's a lot you could learn from learn from the manual. And could save you from asking embarrassing questions on here!

You have a point there. Although your reply gave me the answer quicker than reading the manual

Ah but if you'd already read the manual you'd know the answer instantly!

The button cancels it as does putting it in to N and P.
Leaves the display on sensors though.

I have a boring test on Sunday to carry out, just how accurate the sensors are, as in how much room left from orange and how much from red.

My wife does not know it yet, but she is soo in for a treat standing outside doing this lol.

A bit OCD but I have done it will all my cars with sensors.

I always stop the instance it goes solid, when approaching a uniform surface with no projections. This seems to be 4-8" off.

20-30cm left when on red and a constant tone, just enough for one more reverse into that spot! Orange don't eve worry about not even DEFCON 2 there.

Unless you have the front sensors as well there is no button. This really gets on my tits because you park go into neutral (MT) and it still beeps so you have switch off the engine and restart it so do don't fry. Grrrr

Really?! My E90 AT would stop beeping, as would my E46 MT!

E90 MT with rear sensors only stopped beeping when you went into neutral or any other gear than reverse also.

No button is this new on the F30's? I only have an F10 but certain that if you have parking sensors then you have this button to turn them ON or OFF?

Circled below, ignore the camera button for surround view or reverse camera.
