Not really sure if TRL can be trusted!!

Today I took the long drive from South Wales to pick up the new motor from TRL.
The 335d F31 has gone, and been replaced by 3 litres of petrol powered loveliness in the shape of an M135i.
Firstly, after making just a tentative enquiries regarding downsizing and needing to scratch that petrol itch once more, TRL came back with an offer just too good to turn down.
He will save you money, save you time and save you hassle, BUT, I'm not sure he can really be trusted.
Whilst chatting away (about cars obviously) he decided to get some pics of his new car up on his phone. I had visions of some lovely M car, maybe a Ferrari.
No, it was a Renault!!
Like I said, not sure he can be trusted.

Firstly-

(Of the 135i, not the Renault)

Secondly, the Renault...that is disgusting. You should have given him a wedgie as a mark of your disapproval.

Pics will have to wait until after the weekend wax session.
In his (limited) defence it was a trophy 275.
Got to be honest can't recommend TRL and his colleague Phillipe enough

Congrats mate, cracking car. Is it the facelift, be the first I'd seen but suspect it's not?

How long had you had the 335d? I'm only curious because I contacted riazC after he had been recommended, but heard nothing back, I'm assuming it was because of the 9k+ neg equity! So unable to do a deal. Would love to change cars, but looks like I'm stuck for another 18+ months yet.
Does TRL only do deals one 1 series anyways?

No mate, pre-LCI. He did give me a very good price on a factory order LCI, but an offer I couldn't refuse on one he had in stock with a very good spec.

How did you manage to get £9k negative equity?
Had the 335d just over 11 months, used to need an estate, don't anymore and wanted petrol again.
I contacted Riaz but after sending him spec etc, didn't hear back either.
Definitely worth dropping TRL a mail, will without a doubt be the first person I speak to when I come to change, couldn't recommend him enough despite the Renault.
F31 335d cruise from South Wales to Berry BMW 44.1mpg, M135i on same journey back 39.8mpg.

Clearly you are not pushing hard enough on the loud pedal there.

Agreed, but now its cards only at the old coin bins there is never the issue of some numpty without enough change where you got that very, very rare moment where all barriers get blocked until they can escort said muppet away from danger and then 20 lanes of everyone flooring it.

From changing cars 3x in 12 months!!....and the last time in October.....if only I hadn't jumped into the X1 I might have been in a better place.

I might just do that....if only to see if I have to wait....

I was originally looking at a 135i back in '13.....and ended up in the X1???

How on earth do you start at a 135i and finish at a X1?

Would love to know the thought process on that one!!
