Possible to Change EQ Settings for Stock F30 Audio?
I feel like this would have been asked before, but I couldn't find it here or through Google - can you (and how) change the EQ (or just basic bass/treble) on a 2013 BMW 328i with the stock audio system?
Also, I did see ideal settings for the HK system throughout multiple threads- anything suggested for the stock? |

Just get the Bimmertech Amp...it's not cheap...but it IS worth it even with standard speakers.....makes a world of difference and you can tune the amp off your laptop until it's REALLY really good. Also can add a sub to the trunk off the RCA connectors too. Pretty easy plug and play.
The "HiFi" standard system is truly dismal.....my 2013 328 came with it too... the std stereo in my knackered 2004 Subaru was better....a lot better! |

Try using the EQ of your music source as well after adjusting Tone, Bass, and Treble in the iDrive menu.
I have the EQ on my iPhone set to Rock; this has been helpful and the music sounds good to my ears.

It's a great investment, and it can be profiled, so if you move to a new car (non BMW ) all you'd need is a new harness, since it's based on a industry standard amp. I'd also like to agree on the equalizing on your source (assuming you're using your phone or another source like a music player). If you're on Android there are a LOT of players (and stand alone equalizers). One of the best Android players is Neutron, and it has extensive equalization built in, and even has the ability to store different setups so you can rock out to a bass heavy one or have a completely different smoother one for classical or jazz. Not sure of the iPhones offerings, but there should be a number of them since many Studio Musicians use iPads and iPhones for music generation. PuterPro |
