Lost a cylinder

My car had the coils and plugs replaced about 15k miles ago so was wondering if a coil went bad it would be ok to just replace one coil rather than all of them? Was thinking replacing all the spark plugs and the one coil if it indeed is bad? Sound like a good plan? I got drivetrain malfunction error and car lost power. Codes read it as cylinder 4.

Yes you can do one coil. It may even be under warranty depending on where you got it?

they came from FCP euro, but I got them as a gift for xmas from my step mom so she would have to buy another one and set of plugs from them and id send them back the 6 used plugs and one faulty coil to get fully reimbursed?

Well that's for the typical lifetime warranty exchange. They may have a different policy for a defective item warranty claim. I would just contact them and see.

You can swap coils with another one of your cylinder and test if the cylinder misfire follows the coil

Check that the coil has been connected properly and yes swap the coil and check the code again.

You'll be fine replacing the one if its bad. Though I'd try to see if its still under warranty.

To diagnose, swap the cylinder 4 coil with a coil from a different cylinder and see if the fault moves with it.
