I also need help updating my firmware . Currently on NBTevo_W20204I. I'm a new member so need some posts before I can PM.

What is needed for someone to remote in to update the FW? Or what would be needed to try it myself? Thanks for the help!

Also, I need a bench unlock for my ECU. Would whoever I take it to likely also be able to do this firmware update?

Why do you need to update your firmware?

Version W supports full screen carplay.

What bench unlock are you talking about?

You need the higher version firmware for full screen, or you can run a patch. I ended up going with the patch and got full screen that way. I used easy bimmer coding, and it worked out well.

The bench unlock for ECU is for something else. As I was searching for someone to support the firmware update I was wondering if it could be the same person, but Im going to a local shop to unlock the ECU, for a tune. I know, something completely different.

Thank you for the response.

It likely needs patching to make it full screen again.
