So I just picked up a 2016 Car with a N55. Its a 5 Series MSport.
Posting here, as there is no response on 5 Series Forum....sorry.

2016 535i MSport with MPPK.
BMS Intake and Metal Charge Pipe.
No Other Mods

So I don't know anything about tunes.....YET....learning

Car has a MDH Tune.
I was able to connect my Android with an Enet cable to the car and got this...see attached.
I emailed MHD and they said that I have to use 93 Octane, which I do not want to do.

My Question is:
If I remove the Tune, I will lose the Factory MPPK Tune.....am I right?

What Tune do I have and what Maps are installed? I can not tell.

What Tune from MHD can I install that is not going to be worse Fuel Economy that Stock and still get me better performance ......Sorry not interested in smiles per Gallon.

You have stage 1 (93 octane) map.

You could switch to stage 1 (91 octane) if you do not want to run 93. Would be -10 or 15hp vs running 93.

Both maps are essentially unaltered MPG if not improved MPG. largest factor in MPG decline is the tendency to accelerate harder to feel the new power, which can lead to lower averages

Your car’s original tune (MPPK in your case) is copied as a backup when you install a tune. The software allows to you go back to stock ( with or without MHD installed).

Did you get anything from the PO? Data stick or copy of the MHD SW license?

I believe a MPPK tune is available within MHD, so you can flash that but it won’t be your exact prior OEM tune…

Any ideas if they store this locally or online?

Back in 2018 I lost my original amazon fire tablet (back before the iOS app and wifi adapter) after some homeless guy broke into my car. Always wondered if that meant my OE tune file was gone.
