340i Xdrive f/r diff fluid the same?

Can someone just tell me if they use the same and the amount needed? Doesn't seem to be a consensus but according to ECS (3)quarts of redline GL-5 75w85 gear oil and 3 drain plugs are all that is required.

they do not use same fluid, ECS recommends same aftermarket fluid for both but OEM fluids are different for front and rear diff, to me that implies they use different additives that aftermarket fluid does not contain.

RealOEM says BMW G1 hypoid for rear, BMW G2 hypoid for front, and DTF1 for transfer case.

ECS however suggests Redline 75w85 GL-5 for front/rear and Redline MT-LV 70W/75W GL-4 for transfer case.

Whichever fluids you go for it’s 0.8L rear diff, 0.6l front diff, 0.7L transfer case ( according to FCPEuro).

Right on, FCP just confirmed you can use redline 75w85 for the front and rear differentials on 340i xdrives.
