I had no idea about the different voltage. According to realoem.com, the LCI screen is compatible with the pre-LCI models, but I highly doubt it,that's why I posted the question. It seems that since now nobody with the Integrated Navigation has installed the 8,8 screen, but someone has to take the first step. Let's see... |

The LCI screen is not exchangeable with the pre LCI screen! I don't use realOEM but other part catalogs including BMW itself prove it too.
Check here: http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/65509387453/ Pre LCI screen works with 7,5-9V. LCI screen has normal 12V. So just buy a pre LCI screen for your Entrynav and you will be fine. Further you will save a lot of money als LCI screens are rare and much more expensive. Last edited by TePee; 07-03-2016 at 02:14 PM.. |

Do you think that the 8,8 screen will cooperate fine with the BMW Integrated Navigation system? |

You're welcome
Sorry I have no clue about Integrated Nav and 8,8". But it is an interesting project. As you wrote someone has to be the first one: trial & error |

Hi, I'd like to retrofit a 8.8" screen. I have a F34 LCI (built 08/2016) with Radio Professional (no nav). I should have HU_ENTRYNAV.
Can anyone tell me which screen should I get? I've seen two screens: 9292248 -> pre-LCI screen, 7.5-9 V 9387453 -> LCI screen, 12V Which voltage does my HU use? Thanks! |

I have 2016 pre LCI F34 with HU Entrynav and the correct 8,8" screen was 7,5-9V Pre LCI screen 9292248. As the LCI uses Entrynav as well I guess it should be the same.

Thanks, I'll try the pre-LCI screen then. What eSys and psdzdata versions did you use to code your car?

Coming to this quite late in the game as I just got the car.
So I have 05/2016 118d Sport F20 with S606 Business Nav, S654 DAB Tuner, , S6NH normal bluetooth. Checked via a Vin Decode. I am reliably informed that equates to HU_EntryNav. It also has S698 Area code 2 for DVD...although it doesn't play DVDs..WTF? So I understand biased on dates, etc, that I can just take off the 6.5 screen and replace with an 8.8 screen, do the two lines of recoding (via bimmercode) and the new screen will work...just bigger. Can the OP tell me what the benefit is? Does it simply show the same screen but bigger, or is there more map on screen, more other details. Has anyone been able to make DVDs work, even from USB? I would love the bigger screen but the cost means I could do with knowing whether it will change anything that will make it worth doing. Thanks |

10.25" screen?
Could one install the 10.25" instead of the 8.8?
My i3 has the standard NBT (s606) with the 6.5" screen - i3s with the tech package have the NBT Pro (s609?) with the 10.25" screen. Would the 10.25" screen only work with the NBT Pro? |

Anyone recommend any coders in the West Midlands as I have fitted the screen just need it coded in.
Also on the Pre-LCI will the 8.8 screen work straight away - I.e plug and play but just require coding so the correct size & resolution or will it only work once coded? As I've purchased a screen of Ebay - fitted the cabling to check it works. But the screen is just blank... so unsure if it will be o.k once coded or I'm got a naff screen ? |

hello TePee, is it safe to say I have a HU EntryNav.. my car is model year 2015, with a production date I think in 9/2014 or 10/2014. I just have a regular screen without navigation package.

PS: The coding part is easy (search these forums), you just need to get a ENET cable ($20) off eBay. |
