"Avg ign" is a JB4 feature where it monitors timing and compares to an assumed timing curve which is preset for the stock flash timing map which doesn't apply with a BEF on the car as the timing maps are changed. It'd be nice if Terry added a screen to change those "expected" timing settings to make that useful again.

I am a noob with the BM3 backend flash. Currently my 2013 335xi F30 N55 has a catless dp, jb4 (currently using map 7), charge pipe (of course lol), CAI and Active Autowerke FMIC . In addition I am running 93 octane with 50% ethanol. The actual ethanol percent is actually unknown since at the pump they are allowed anywhere from 50% to 84% ethanol content (e85 my ass!). I do get a boost in the ethanol content because the station has 10% ethanol in the 93 octane. Eventually I would like to upgrade my turbo from stock but not in the near future.

I have read a lot about it and will continue to.

What can I expect to gain from the BM3 flash and a custom map? I haven't dyno'd yet.

so i had SSR installed bootmod3 about a month or 2 ago.. so how do i go about getting the burble.. my f30 is pwg.

Send a support ticket to PTF and state you want the PWG burble applied to whatever map you're running. They remake a OTS map for you and add it, then send it to you.

Excellent. That's a fair bit of headroom and you're going pretty darn fast by the time you end up in 6th. Yep I saw that 6th gear has a lower limit than the others on another 8HP ROM, just like 5th on the 6HP.

Anyone know what logs we are suppose to run for new file builds, the parameters that need to be running? I was told default, but my defaults don't have what is being requested from PTF.

Well I just have the OTS file for 91 oct stage 2, never requested anything special and it has burbles and gunshots. I don't believe pwg cars need any special file to have that. They just need open exhaust to get it, but I could be mistaken.

I believe there are a handful of PWGs that had burbles but lost them when they flashed tuned.

I was recently browsing the PTF site looking to order a custom tune and I saw burbles being an option that is in beta. It reads, "N55 PWG (BETA Agg)."

Make sure you go to dashboard (top right) setting and hit reset to default and go to datalogs tab and do the same thing (reset to default) if your car is not logging full parameters (which are set by default) for ex like this Revving Log I did (do a cold start or Rev to make sure all parameters are there)

When you logging any given map, 30-100mph in sport+ or dsc off is what you should be logging or wherever you want the certain tweak/improvement specifically.

By looking at the 8HP ROM can you then estimate the limits for the other gears knowing that 6th is 20psi?

Pic1: Here you can see the DME_BT drop trying to limit torque but as JB4 is in control of the boost that doesn't do shit...
Pic2: Shifting into 6th at high enough rpm will not create enough torque so there you should be good

I have iPE exhaust which is very loud, almost straight pipe loud. with PTF JB4 BEF I get zero burbles. unless I backfire from PI.

By open exhaust I think he meant catless down pipe (or at least a hi flow cat).
