Faced the same, had to buy from Amazon to get an order number and then returned.
Here's the B2R176R2 version from a couple of days ago for NBT B2: https://we.tl/t-qs0FcxUAOM |

I have also just updated my software to B2_1.6.16_n and have managed to get BT audio working but am coming across a problem with the scroll wheel. When I'm in Android Auto using the scroll wheel, it is also applying whatever I do to the BT music input on the NBT so it is skipping and restarting songs whenever I use the scroll wheel for any other reason in the MMI box. Does anyone have a workaround for this?

You can try disable on MMI the option "use steering wheel buttons" but i think thats the opposite you want. |

Bought a 13' F30 with no NAV. Read all the info on how to Add the MMI box to a F30 NBT screen. Ill Probably order an ANDREAM off there site. My question is if i was to upgrade the 6.5 screen to a OEM 8" screen same time will it require coding? If so any link to a thread to get the software to do the coding.

I think the easiest and cheapest way would be to use Bimmercode, Coding info here: https://f48.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...%20work%20also

Another option is to replace the 6.5 inch with a 10 inch F-15 OEM screen. I got mine for $220 on eBay three years ago. There is an entire thread on that.

i seen some youtubes on the install of the HU it looks really easy especially since its a base model no HK radio shit.. theres all kinds of room in there. Just wanna make sure i line it all up right and do it correct from get go...Need to code it to start in eco and no auto off too so maybe the bimmercode might be less of headache over the esys Software.. waiting for that to look at it....

Do you have NBT now? Or the single-din Entry Nav no navigation HU? Because going to NBT is not trivial (CAN(1) vs CAN2, CID cable, USB plug, etc) And the FSC codes are their own separate issue (need an emulator or pay a coder). For older cars before (I think 2016 or 2018) ESys could be used with the old Tokenmaster 2.8 Launcher for FDL coding. But as you are aware I am sure, finding the correct files and installing and setup is a pain. Unless you are going to do some FA/VO coding, ECU programming, CAFD injections, etc, I would use Bimmdercode for $35. The new launchers for Esys for FDL coding for 2018 and later cars are all around $50-100. F15 CID 10" install in F30 (check out all the pages for various less-intesive options): https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1168747 Here is mine:https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...&postcount=515 Start/stop disable, but Bimmercode is easier:

Awesome thanks for putting all that in one post for me..
ya for 35$ time is money.. Ill be getting that.. Thanks ya the 10" look a little evasive on the dash. You did a nice job on it though ill have to find time to dig through that thread. that looks great.. And from what im seeing in pics Im pretty sure im on NBT. Its basic as basic can be. straight forward menu only car settings on vehicle info display. Guess ill have to look a little more into that though..

If you are not that hung up on using the OEM menu of your current Head Unit, you can just keep your current HU, because the MMI box would pretty much replace an NBT or EVO (except for touch screen). The MMI has far more infotainment features than the NBT and even the EVO HU. And than you just need a CID. With touch screen, some people do not like that they have to lean forward and reach over to the screen. Much easier to control it from the iDrive controller sitting back. But that's subjective.

It's more expensive than a generic elm327 adapter. But it's significantly faster, has encryption, sleep mode so your battery doesn't drain enabling you to leave it in permanently, and is fully flexray compatible so you'll be able to use it for tuning later on if you so choose.

I got the esys software from another thread i figure ill give it a try picked up an enet cable off ebay for 10$ im pretty computer savy so well see how that goes or ill just buy the bimmercode.. do i need to purchase the 49$ full version off bimmercode app?
