In principal I agree completely but it's evident from some of the comments on here that a few have quite entrenched views and hence those of a different persuasion may have decided they simply don't need the flak that's likely to go with any attempt to articulate or justify an alternative position? If I understood correctly I think that was what Pentland was alluding to with his comments back in post #49....

The figure for Saturday's vaccinations is out and it has dropped a little on the level from Thursday and Friday. 298,087 first dose vaccinations (vs 324,233 on Friday). Still an implied weekly rate approaching 2.1 million and with 10 new mass vaccination centres opening tomorrow https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-55692321 things are still looking quite positive IMO.

Absolutely no side effects from the vaccine not even pain at injection site.
Wonder if I got injected with water. Seems to have increased my consumption of steak and gulasz and curries washed down with malt over the weekend. Not a bad side effect to have. |

Funny we had a conversation at work about side effects. Quite a few of us experienced the same side effects. We all thought it was psychosomatic and we were imagining things. Evidently not.
Within the first few mins of receiving the jab more than 50% of us experienced vertigo, dizziness, a slight feeling of the room beginning to wobble. We all said to ourselves, "Catch yourself on!" Most of us reported a cracking headache about 24hrs later. No pain at injection site. Nothing worth MHRA yellow card reporting or should I? Pfizer vaccine. |

Temporary one sided facial droop for up to 1 in 1000. Sounds a bit like a Bell’s palsy type of thing. |

Very true. However, I will say that the odds will change against the total population as these ratios are against those who have received the vaccine. I do get the point though!

Monday’s Times newspaper is reporting that the government’s internal target is to be vaccinating half a million a day by the end of this week, up from around 300,000 currently. That sounds ultra ambitious to me, but if they were to achieve that, it looks likely that they would manage to vaccinate the first 4 priority groups about a week ahead of their 15 Feb target.

On Monday there were 145,000 done, by Friday it was 325,000. More centres opening next week, so we’ll see. Fingers crossed. |

I agree with that comment. Based on what we have seen with the hundreds vaccinated that I know and the thousands more of our citizenry I would say near all had soreness at the sight of injection. I would say half had a mild headache and our a bit of fatigue. I would say about 1/10 had muscle aches and more of a robust headache. Anyway, the list seems pretty accurate based on our experiences over the last few months with the vaccinations.
