They look great!
I did the sport seat retro a while back and honestly wish I had done it sooner now.

I did the exterior swap about a year and some change ago, that’s been a labor of love, too. Same with the trim—a total vanity play. Maybe it adds 10 bhp at night with my rear euro fogs on.

I assume the passenger is the one that's still triggering the occupied sensor when it seems no one is there...

Actually that issue resolved itself, I'm not sure why or how. The first time I turned the car on after installing the seats the car thought someone was in the passenger seat. I drove the car home and decided to deal with it another day. Lo and behold, it works flawlessly now.

About 80% done on 760. Have the over window trim to finish on that but all other trim is installed.

Will do 3BE soon, too. Just didn't want to mess with the mirror glass today.

Upgraded to M performance brakes:
Yellow Brembo calipers
Hawk pads
Brembo 2-piece blank rotors
Stoptech braided lines
New large front shields
Brake fluid flush

Installation process was very straightforward. I mean it’s just brakes. Programming with BimmerUtility was easy. Bleed procedure was also easy. Accidentally bought a bleeder that uses a compressor rather than a had pump. Luckily I have a compressor. The rear caliper bolts are a biiiiitch. If you’re just using a jack and jack stands I recommend you get it as high as the jack stands will allow. It will give you more room for a breaker bar. Lastly the pins are pretty annoying to get in. Not much room to knock them in.

Thoughts: Super happy with the look! Seeeexy. The brakes feel really great. Good bite without being jerky. I’ve only bed-in the pads and gone on a beer run. The dust from the Hawk pads is a bit more than expected. Did a lot of research and thought the dust was supposed to be minimal. I’ll reserve too much judgement until I get a few thousand miles behind the pads.

Nice! 417 looks great. How did you find parts? I am in the process of doing 760 as well. I have shadowline mirrors that I'm going to install with my 5AG retrofit. Still searching for the window trim locally.

Found the panels on eBay. I have a set of roller bars that were removed from a panel but these came whole—I’ve been looking for probably a year. They rarely pop up.

I sourced my 760 locally. Picknpull and fb marketplace. I did buy the b pillar new because it’s so easily seen even though my picked and purchased b pillars would have been fine.

which Hawk pads? the HPS 5.0?

Looking at those pads for my F36 with 370/345mm brakes as they’re a good balance between performance and low dust from what I have read and my brother’s own experience on his previous 2014 F36.

Yep. Hawk HPS 5.0 they came recommended in this post:
https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=32636934
I thought they would be low dust as well. I would say more in the “moderate” range. Again, the observations I’ve gathered are just from bed-in and one short drive. I’d like to clean off the wheels and go for a longer drive, which I plan to do this week. So if you don’t need to know right away, I can post again on Friday or Saturday with an update.

So this is in progress little by little. It fits pretty nicely. The overall plan is working. Need to finish my retune of the car on 93ish octane first. Then will install and check for MAF fuel and air reading trims calculated.

Had to cut up the metal mounting “bracket” thing from CTS turbo as I like the ISM cover and my catch can is right in the way of where this officially mounts

After I reinstalled the original charge pipe & intake pipe, today I took it to Swift Performance to return it to stock (exhaust & suspension).

Really great guys over there, definitely recommend.

Did a 100mi ride through some windy Colorado roads. I would say the brake dust is on the lower end of moderate and light in color. For performance pads I’m not mad at it. Like I mentioned before good feel to the brake force. Felt like I had a good range of pedal for various brake force without it feeling spongy. Since the pads are pretty easy to change, I may cinsider buying and throwing on akebonos at some point just to compare. I was torn between the two and went with the Hawks because they were really talked up here on Bimmerpost. Bottom line: they weren’t cheap so next time I’m buying pads, I’ll probably shop around and try something else, but generally not unhappy.

Here is what I wrote in my onenote page for my F36 about Hawk HPS 5.0 several years ago.

"Sucked and squealed a ton at 10,000 Miles. Back of pad shim coating worn through on front inboard pads."

I will never buy another set of hawk pads. I replaced the Hawks with Brembo pads several years ago and never looked back. I hope your experience is better. I only reply to counter the pads being further talked up on the forums when they're utter shit. Worst pad I've ever had on any of my BMWs and I, in the past, have gone through a lot of pads just playing around.

Yes, a lot of hype for hawk, especially by a couple of vocal members in particular. I opted for akebono ceramic pads. Far cheaper than those and never have to clean brake dust. After 24000 miles they have performed well any time I needed them and still have lots of meat left.

Def more hype than performance. I won’t take them all the way down to 3/4mm before swapping. Thanks for the tips tho. I’ll look into brembo pads. akebonos are def on the list.

Brembo pads are the factory pads that come in these calipers, and the m performance brake it. Just an fyi.

Similar performance but no noise no dust for me is ebc reds. Order from FCP and if you don’t like them they will let you return them for your akebonos people scream about as well.

I was able to do the trim removal without bending the original trim or the gloss black upgrade. I ended up silicone spraying the trim and it slid on very easily.

Just watching some college bball... almost done the 760... waiting for some epoxy to cure on one of the permanent clips so i can install the final above window trim in gloss black, person who removed from the donor car snapped one and didn't tell me.. it's fine

sorry for double post... finished up the gloss black trim (option 760) today. Looks pretty. I would rate this difficulty as a 4/10 if you did everything except the glass divider. Honestly the hardest parts are ensuring you don't bend anything. It's basically some elbow grease and a torx20 (if you don't do the glass divider). With the glass divider i'd say it's slightly more difficult only with the removal of the door card and pulling back the vapor barrier.

Unrelated, I swapped all my thule lock cores to get the same keys for the rack and box.

Summer tires and wheels are back!

Something so basic shouldn't have been such a challenge.

Last shop visit obviously involved an impact because one stud came out instead of the lug nut (it's such a headache to fix), shattered a socket on another, a piston stuck on the floor jack, so put a scissor jack into service - 'cause this should be quick and easy - destroyed the threads, crushed a wheel chock. . .

Beauty demands a price, I suppose.

And relevant to some comments above about Hawk 5.0 pads - I've always liked them, but this last pair introduced a squeal I couldn't eliminate. . . until I re-lubed the pins and retaining clips. Voila. FWIW and YMMV.
