Israel reporting that the Pfizer vaccine isn’t providing great protection after one dose. As we’re getting vaccines on track and really moving things on, I think it would be good if the government re-thought policy and went back to a tested regime.

Although looking at the numbers from yesterday, there’s been a BIG drop in numbers administered. Just over 200,000, compared to 325,000 on Friday.
I wonder what the reason for that is? Could it be most NHS staff have had first dose now and ready made candidates aren’t quite as available? More centres open from yesterday, numbers remained quite high over the weekend, so surprised to see such a big drop. |

Yeah I was surprised at the numbers - was hoping to see them increasing not decreasing!
Hopefully a blip.

I took it and I've now spent 3 days looking on eBay for the DVD of Encarta.

Personally I'd rather delay having my first jab if it means people in the more vulnerable groups can have their second jab at the time suggested by the vaccine manufacturers. |

Apparently according to a recent survey only 44 per cent of people said they would follow the rules of social distancing and hygiene after vaccination. Gotta love the Brits haven’t you.

Highest number of vaccines administered in a day in the UK yesterday - 343,163 getting their first dose.
Great news, let's keep it going! |

Yes back up again - was concerned at the last few days numbers being so long. Expect that was supply chain driven rather than desire though.

Weekend didn’t worry me too much, I think every weekend will be a bit lower than week days. Monday looked a bit odd, but back on track is good!

The hope is that the vaccine reduces your ability to transmit the virus as well, but right now we just don't know for sure. If it doesn't then I can see a tough year coming up as those that have been vaccinated start getting back to normality and those that haven't stay couped up and are potentially unable to go in some places, attend certain events or go on holidays as they don't have a certificate to say they're all fine. I love attending summer festivals (Download & Bloodstock) and I'm desperate for them to go ahead after being cancelled last year. My worry is that they do go ahead, but only for those who can demonstrate they've been vaccinated and I'm left having to go without again while some of my family and friends are able to attend. I know it seems trivial in the context of the amount of people that are losing their lives, but understandably after a year of this you're trying to find something good to look forward to again. |

320,874 additional vaccine doses registered in England yesterday (318,151 1st doses, 2,723 2nd doses)
24,962 in Scotland (1st doses only) 14,645 in Wales We're still awaiting full UK figures for the day, but this means the number of jabs administered over the past seven days has been more than 2 million. Ahead of target! |

Good news - I think the previous day was c347k for the UK so definitely running at a decent speed again.
Really hope the weekends don't slow down - this should be running 7 days a week full speed.

Where are you guys accessing the vaccination numbers from? The Gov website link I had that showed it for the first week or so doesn't seem to list vaccination numbers anymore, just patients admitted to hospital and patients on ventilation.
