Had a B pillar/driver side door rattle (not a squeak) at all speeds, regardless of terrain. Brought it in Friday for 10k service and some other niggling things and asked if they could look into it. Ultimately, they applied Teflon tape and said the issue was fixed. I'm not sure what they tried other than the Teflon tape, but at least on the drive home, there is ZERO noise now. We'll see how many miles it lasts...

Not long... I am going to try silicone on the rubbers, and i noticed that its not the rubbers on the inside "side" but the ones on the door itself.

There MUST be a solution to this...

Silicone will probably help, but I suspect that it will be temporary. IME, the key is ensuring that you have a slick surface on the bottom of the trim that the rubber mates with...that's where the Teflon tape gets installed at the dealer.

This solution has worked for me for the year and a half I've had my car. After about 9 months, I noticed a faint creak developing again and a 30-second wipe eliminated it:

If you don't want to go the Teflon route, DEFINITELY try Einszett Gummi Pflege Stift on the rubbers. I've used it and it really helps with the door squeaks.

Yeah. I agree. I love my car but I do get annoyed that I've paid a lot of money for it and it has these issues. However I have driven a Nissan Micra recently as a rental and I did appreciate my car again with squeaks and all.

And I'm the only one to make the smartass comment? LOL
If you experience this issue, and get it totally sorted out like mine, you would know exactly what I am saying, just like maverick agreed.
So far about a year or so since I got it done. Still no squeak.
So it works for a long term.
I will also update if the squeak ever comes back.
Even then, I think I would just go back to get this done again since it does last a long time.
I don't see it happening anytime soon though (slapped hard on wood)

I saw your previous post. How is the tape method going so far?
Did they apply same areas as mine?

Dropped my car off yesterday for this among other things and my SA called me later to say they couln't apply the SIB mentioned by the OP because it was for a different model. They also "couldn't reproduce" the squeaking. Of course, right? Anyway he said they cleaned the felt. Guess I'll have to wait until it gets ridiculously bad before trying again.

What?! That sucks. Sorry to hear.
They cleaned my car once before they ended up applying Teflon Tape.
If they can't apply the SIB mentioned, why can't they just apply the teflon tape for you?
Just cleaning will make it come back soon enough.
I went out with a technician for a drive when I dropped the car off on that day I got the teflon tape done.
At that time, going on bumps made the squeak to come on easy.
We went on a little business parking lot with many bumps and dips. All of the bumps and dips made my car squeak. He said he heard it, and the end of the day, teflon was on.
I am about to make an update to my original post though. Exactly about a year later, my passenger side started to squeak. I went back to the same dealer with the service report from that day. They re-applied it and I am good to go for about another year.
So far, this is the most effective way to fix, since it does make your car feel so much better. Try again when noise comes back. Good luck.

[UPDATE 5 Jan 2017]: I went in for the second time in two days. Today I spoke to the technical lead, instead of the service rep, and went for a test drive. Luckily there was 10 speed bumps within the BMW parking lot and once we went over the first bump, the technician automatically said "you'll need Teflon tape". I asked him why BMW doesn't fix it at the plant and he indicated that it only affects the M Sport models or the ones with the black gloss outer trim. At first I thought the squeak was from the rubber seals rubbing against the chassis but he said it's the felt rubbing against the gloss trims. The part is on back order, so I'll need to wait until my service in February.

[UPDATE 4 Jan 2017]: Just got my car back specifically for this issue. Here is their service notes "Carried our cleaning and lubricating rear door seals due to squeeking noise coming when body flex occurs." Didn't even get into my driveway and the sound is back. I have arranged a time with the technician leader tomorrow for a drive to point out the noise, I will be referencing to @aski SIB number.

I've had this issue on my LCI 330 and has been driving me nuts! My Mazda 3 didn't even have any squeaks yet a car costing 3 times more has anyways, have just called my dealer to book a time and see if they can apply the Teflon tape.

Thanks

Thanks from mexico

My 340 msport is amazing but since the third day it squeaks like an old bed
Tried silicone, wd40,gummypledge etc no luck
I saw this post an ordered 3m teflon tape both in clear and black colors since is very obvious the sounds come from thegloss black trim,
I will apply myself the tape tomorrow and let you know
I really appreciate the pics i was almost on therapy and depressed be ause the horrible noices in such an expensive and also great car

I will apply it since making an appointment with the dealer will be a waste of time

And yes having a bmw with "tape on" is sad but beside this is such a great car,
Gracias',,,!

I had this issue when I first got the car 4 mos ago and after the dealer installed the teflon tape about 2 weeks into ownership, it was all gone - no more creaking/flexing sound from the weather seals flexing against the door frame. I hope it lasts

I've had my car for a year and a half and all of a sudden this issue just appears a month or two ago. It's NOT a squeaking, but rather a CREAKING sound as if the car's frame is damaged from a wreck - most noticeably when driving at an angle over a speed bump or otherwise a motion that twists the chassis.

Regardless, it sounds super ghetto, like I'm driving a 1982 Caprice. I'm going to get this seen about.
